First visit in Guilin
My first trip in Guilin, chosen to a non popular but historical city - XingAn. I have chosen Guilin Merryland Resort thru recommendation. It’s a rather old hotel and a distance away from the city but come with pretty nice environment with a golf course and theme park for kids. What I like about were the nice natural reserve and garden, fresh air on the morning very relaxing. Great for break away from City. Another plus point nice pool for me to relax. Room rate extremely reasonable. I will be back when I need a quiet and relaxing weekend break.

The Jiuzai Valley in the Sichuina Province.
Getting off the tourist bus, I keep walking along the road to Changhai Lake. After a while, I saw it. It’s the deepest and widest lake in Jiuzai Valley, with 100 meters deep and 600 meters wide, and located at an altitude of 3100 meters high on a mountain. The water from the lake originates from a high mountain on which the ice and snow melt each year into water and pour down into the lake. On the other hand, Changhai Lake which is black green looked just like a green mirror on the surface because it’s so calm on the lake, and was charming and colorful especially with the sunlight shinning on it. What’s more, tourists are allowed to take photos of themselves there in Tibet clothes as a memento. If they truly love to explore the secrets of the lake, they must go further along the lake. Having visited Changhai Lake, I went to the Wucai Pond. The water there looked so clear that I could even saw the bottom of the pond through it, where all kind of colorful small substances are deposited and different-color plants grow. Happy time there!
I have been there twice: in 2007 with my classmates, and went with my family in 2010. Although I have not went to the Disneyland, i like Merryland very much, it is quite big and fun, especially with children, you know, they will love it. We spent a whole day there, from 10:00-16:30. It is about 2.5 hours driving way from Guilin city. Take snacks in your bag, because the food is quite expensive in there.
