-Rediscovering Braila
City Tours • Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
The best way to spend your time while visiting Braila is to "walk this way" enjoying Mihaela Rosu's guiding. Her passion and love for her home city was exceptionally translated Into her unique manner of sharing and revealing culture, history, traditions and invaluable people who lived here with the eager tourist. While walking along the city admiring beautiful old buildings, some beautifully restored, Mihaela tells the stories of the city in a very documented manner. It's a pleasure and a very enriching experience. I totally recommend Mihaela's tours. See more..

- 4.5 Tropaeum Traiani Monument (78 reviews)
-Amazing
Thursday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Monuments & Statues
Definitely a monument that I'm speechless of. I really recommend tourists to visit this piece of art, because surely you will learn a lot of history about Romania. My favourite part of this monument is of course the statue, but the base is constructed in a very talented way. Everyday I think about how did those people live in those times. It's unbelievable. As I said, I really, really, really recommend visiting this place at least once. See more..
- 4.5 Romanian Navy Museum (49 reviews)
-The visit was a really nice surprise
Military Museums
We entered this museum with low expectations as the website is looking old fashioned and is not telling exactly the truth about the museum. But after entering it, my 6 years old boy was quite amazed and I have to admit I was too. There is a historical walk through the navy related items, ships, clothing, materials, commercial, army navy items. There are also a lot of ship models. The outside yard is not so attractive, the things exhibited over there should enter in some restoration in order to become more attractive. It was a very nice and interesting tour. See more..
- 4.5 St. Mina Orthodox Church (48 reviews)
-Very Lovely
Churches & Cathedrals
On the shore of Lake Tăbăcărie, in the north of Constanţa, the Biserica ortodoxă Sfantul Mucenic Mina (Orthodox Church of Holy Martyr Mina) is built in the Maramures style (Northern Romania). Therefore its architecture is not typical of the Dobredja region and at first sight I assumed it to be purely a tourist attraction, representative of another part of Romania. Whilst portraying a much earlier epoch, the church was only constructed in the 1990s. Being just a short distance from the resort of Mamaia this reinforces my suspicion that it was built for touristic purposes. However, I discovered that it is a living and working church with a faithful congregation. It is also a work of art, constructed virtually wholly from wood, charmingly decorated in a rustic style and kept in very good condition. The grounds and out-buildings are delightful too and the church's position on the lake made it an altogether lovely stop on our sightseeing tour. See more..

- 4.5 Faleza Cazino Constanta (35 reviews)
-The Cazino of an Elegant Past
Spent 2-3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
This marvelous building and its surrounding park setting is right on the Black Sea just down from the Old Town section of Constanta. Sunrise and sunsets are magical times here during all seasons. We like to stroll and think of our own romantic walks for the past 30 years, but there's plenty of new couples out and about now, too. Some good newer clubs and restaurants nearby, so you can sit and sip as you contemplate an era gone by. I hope some entrepreneur figures a way to revitalize the Cazino itself into its old glory. -Easter cathedral uplifting experience!
Religious Sites • Churches & Cathedrals
Archdiocesan Cathedral of Galati can be visited by a citizen from outside the Orthodox as a tourist attraction. The building built of stone and Carrara marble, the interior is painted in fresco, starting with 1906, is dedicated to "St. Nicholas and St. Andrew. " The true spirit of Episcopal Cathedral you can find on Easter. When believers gather in front of the building and receive from Archbishop light at Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. People light candles they light passing from one another in the holy silence. Cathedral awash in an ethereal light and lies along the east ecuprins the holiday spirit. The place is very spiritual and isolated and the road to get there is pitoresque.
