4.0Piața Ovidiu(156 reviews) - Great pedestrian zone Spent < 1 hour Historic Walking Areas • Monuments & Statues
It's a very beautiful square in the heart of the pedestrian zone of the old city part of Constanta. It's a joy to walk over here, take your time and enjoy each step, each building. The only thing to be added is that, unfortunately, there is a lot of work which still needs to be done regarding some old and extraordinary beautiful buildings/places and I can add here: The History Museum, The Roman Mosaic zone (which seems will enter soon in a renovation state), The Lions House... and there are others too...See more..
Definitely a monument that I'm speechless of. I really recommend tourists to visit this piece of art, because surely you will learn a lot of history about Romania. My favourite part of this monument is of course the statue, but the base is constructed in a very talented way. Everyday I think about how did those people live in those times. It's unbelievable. As I said, I really, really, really recommend visiting this place at least once.See more..

4.0Monumentul Unirii(1 review) - Obelisk/ Monument of the 1859 Union of Moldavia and the Romanian County Monuments & Statues
In the left part of Unirii Place there is a red granite obelisk on a bronze tor with sculptures. The monument, 4 m high, was built by sculptor Ion Jalea in 1976. On 24th January each year the Romanians celebrate here the 1859 Union of Moldavia and the Romanian County, by making a giant Hora, a circle of dancers spinning on the place of the Union. On the octogonal steps, the bronze base displays the sculptures of the people involved in realising the Union, the ruler of the united countries, Alexandru Ioan Cuza and the peasants.See more..
