  1. 5.0 Museum of Danube Fishing (2 reviews)
    - Possibly the most interesting museum on Bulgarian Danube
Spent < 1 hour History Museums
The history of Danube fishing goes back millennia, and fishing hooks and other ancient finds indicates there were enormous carp here at one time. Fascinating for the boats as well as the lifestyle of the fishing families that used to live in Ribarska Mahalla- alas most of the original houses in the actual quarter have been torn down to make room for 'tourist development'. Well worth your time to visit the museum - great for kids as well. See more..
  2. 4.5 Dunavska Gradina (25 reviews)
    - Relaxing stroll along the Danube
    Gardens
    Dunavska Gradina image
"Dunavska Gradina" was designed about 100 something years ago as the first public park along the Danube in Bulgaria. It is the best place in Sislistra for a relaxing stroll. Some playgrounds for the kids are there as well as a couple of cafeterias and a real Russian tank T-34, I reckon. There are also some remnants of old fortress, probably a residence of the Bulgarian khan Omurtag. It is a charming place except for the weird modernist sculptures made of scrap metal, in my humble opinion. See more..
  3. 4.5 History Museum of Silistra (10 reviews)

    Medzhit Tabiya Fort image
Comparatively new, but well maintained Ottoman fort. A small lovely exposition acquaints visitors with the late city history. The walk through the fort walls is tranquil. It was quite difficult to get directions through navigation, so my only recommendation is to better notify the place. Entry is only 5 BGN. See more..

The horse riding Izabella has 7 riding horses: Jana, Dalia, Chiara, Daria, Zlatka, Argonaft, Stefan and the pony Mimi. For the little kids, in addition to getting to know the horses, the base also offers exciting and unforgettable experiences with ostriches Alex, Victor and their halves, extremely beautiful red-gold and diamond pheasants, mini bunnies and faithful guards at the base - dogs Chara, See more..
