Hadji Dimitar is legendary Bulgarian voivoda (leader) - fighter for the Liberation of Bulgaria from the Ottomans. He was born May 1840 in the Sliven neighborhood “Kloutsohor”. In 1935 his native-home was turned into museum. The house is small,one-storyed , unsymmetrical building with a wooden veranda with the characteristic,construction and architecture,typical of the early Revival period. Fantastic day out with Vangel Shimov Tourist Agency which included a trip to the Blue Mountains when we travelled down on a chair lift, visit to Zheravania & Sliven. Everything went according to timetable and at a enjoyable walking pace, our bus driver and guide (sorry dion't have their names) were excellent, especially the guide who not only kept us informed on the places we visited but gave us so much interesting information on Bulgaria.
