Traveling around the world and gaining experience in some of the most prestigious wineries in Australia, New Zealand and Chile, technologist Georgi Vankov, together with his brother Vladislav Vankov came up with the idea of creating one of the first urban wineries in Bulgaria. Primorski Park (which I’m assuming equals this TA listing, because I can’t find any other name for this no matter how hard I try) was a true highlight of my time in Varna. It’s a place with all types of diverse sights and activities: gardens, beaches, dining, fountains, waterfalls, statues, museums, and more. The grounds are massive, and I recommend allocating at least half a day to just wander, if not more. Do note that if your eyes really dislike graffiti, you may encounter some trouble here. I was certainly surprised at the amount of graffiti sprayed in random places in the park—sometimes on trees, sometimes on rocks out at the beach boardwalks, and other places you might expect to be more natural. It doesn’t detract from the experience too much, but just be aware. Nature is still preserved, but in a perfect world, there wouldn’t be any graffiti. Despite this, please check out this park! Although I live in Varna and visited the Stone Forest (Pobiti Kamani) in Bulgarian many times. I can say this is definitely a place you can visit throughout any time of the year including winter. If you go during the day and it's on a weekend you can even buy a guided tour. Still there is a big board next to the entrance where you can read a lot. It is a nice spot also if you like taking photos - imagine a sunrise or sunset there and the wonderful colors you can get! See more..

Barite is an experience that is worth the journey from Varna. The grounds of the complex are exquisite and simply stunning as a backdrop for a meal. The grounds are perfect for entertaining children before, during and after dinner. The entertainment is always of outstanding quality. I have been to The Stone Forest - Pobiti Kamani on the 1st of January, in a short trip by car from Balchik. I knew about this place from TripAdvisor and from a travel blog. I used a GPS map but it was easy to find the spot anyway. On that day it was no entrance fee but probably the ticket is 2 or 3 leva. This place is in Varna region so if you are spending your holidays on the northern side of the Bulgarian coastline it's worth a visit. The Stone Forest is a strange thing done by nature or the bottom of an ancient sea, l don't know but it looks good, like the columns of an ancient city or like a small Stonehenge. The only downside is that l suspect the circle of stones is recently made, to atract more tourists. Anyway is a great place to take pictures and I would go back there. See more..

The bar can be found 20 yards or so from the Hotel Arabella and it set outside amongst the trees. Every night we were entertained by the singing and fantastic guitar playing from Dian. He plays from 8.30 to midnight and between songs he is very witty. All nationalities mix in an extremely friendly atmosphere and Dian makes sure everyone knows everyone else in the bar.
