    Varna Orthodox landmark
Visited the Cathedral one morning and found a beautiful big church with a lot of beautiful icons inside, both painted directly on the walls or on display for dedicated prayers. From what we read, it was finished around 1865 , so it is fairly "new" as compared to other orthodox churches. Well worth a visit if you want to spend some time in prayer or just gather your thoughts in a holy and tranquil place. Access is free.

It’s the interior that is very uplifting
Outside this cathedral is not so interesting but inside it’s stunning spatially and materially and very uplifting. Not busy when I visited. To buy candles there is a small shop just as you enter the Main part of the building. The religious objects are quite stunning but one needs to get close. Interesting hung lighting/ chandeliers of carved hard wood bring a delight to the spaces. Not much seating inside. The tiled floor is pedestrian when compared to what is above and hopefully one day this will be upgraded. Pop-in and enjoy the spiritual calm and the cool.
