Naturally it is perfect, clean with luxurious seating premises and a morrocan style beach bar. Entry for 3 with one umbrella was 35 leva, which is nothing to the quality. Both the palace and the gardens are a must see when in the area. I visited in May and it was perfect. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, as the gardens are huge, make sure you have a few hours available to visit the entire complex. Tickets are quite expensive - but it is worth it, in my opinion. The palace is not quite a palace/castle - but rather a villa, set your expectations so that you don't feel disappointed. The history of the place is amazing and for me it was worth it. See more..

Stunning views of the cliffs and the sea, wind farm can be seen in the distance. Worth a trip. I was pleasantly surprised to behold such a beauty and did enjoy strolling that lovely park far and wide. My good impressions first started with the awesome statue of St George (Sveti Georgi in Bulgarian) placed as a guardian at the main entrance to the park. A huge branch of a nearby tree had been detached and fallen due to a recent storm with heavy rain, but like a miracle it had not touched the statue and it had remained unharmed. The park is simply an oasis for relax - clean and wide alleys; awesome rosarium; artificial lake with bulrush, observation platform and protruded into the water platforms with benches; manicured gardens with seasonal flowers; playgrounds for kids and teens. It is obvious that the park is well maintained and it is a valuable asset to the people of the town of Dobrich. See more..

Please take this into consideration if you are in Kavarna area. Really interesting place with fantastic views over the sea cliff, nice and interesting archeological sites and, most of all, provides an 2-3 km walk with very, very scenic views. For sure not to be missed and well worth the 3 levs entrance. Entrance personnel very nice and a free parking spot is provided. To get there, just look for Kramen Bryag village. My family and I had the amazing luck of meeting the owners of "Experience Bulgaria" a company which operates motorboat trips and unlock the real Bulgarian experience. We went on two unforgettable boat journeys, one by day and the second at dusk - words, nor photos can do justice to the incredible joy these journeys gave us. We were furthermore also advised to visit several places in and around Balchik - places which even the most TripAdvisor-savvy tourist would never find. She will walk you around and will tell you magical stories (which appear to be truth). Then you can get in to the Theke and feel the energy in there. It is absolutely amazing experience. It’s a place you have to visit if you are in the area. The beach is really something special. That being said it is a protected area, there are no amenities available here - parking is mostly done in the sand, there are drinks and ice cream available from 2 parked vans, but no food, so come prepared. On the side of the light house there are stairs available, where you can climb up and enjoy a panoramic view of the bay. On the day we were there there were big waves and it was very windy, so you needed to bring a sturdy umbrella if you want shade. Balchik Palace is really not a palace, but a wonderful retreat estate built on the beach at Black Sea. The Villa and surrounding gardens full of beautiful flower, cacti and succulents species belinged to Queen Maria of Romania, back in the days when this area was part of bigger Romania (The Cadrilater region). The palace/villa is not as big as one would expect (only has several rooms) but the surroundings are beautiful. It also has a private Winery where you can buy hand made limited edition artisan wines with very interesting flavours (fig, rose, berries, etc) that can only be found here at the Queen’s Winery. We found this beach by mistake, but we were extremely happy to discover it. On the main road you can park your car for free. The way to the beach is very beautiful, it felt like hiking. The beach was clean and I liked that there is a space for chairs and a space for towels. The water is also clean and there is an instagramable place for sure. The restaurant on the beach is expensive, but the food is delicious. Here I ate the best carbonara pasta ever. See more..
