Abandoned place
The lake is very interesting with unique birds, but unfortunately the access is very difficult. There are no observation decks, the only place to see is the large island where the remains of one of the oldest prehistoric civilizations in Europe have been found. Unfortunately, the whole place is very deserted, there are no signs and in general there is nothing to see. If you are interested, it is better to visit the Historical Museum of Dobrich, there are a lot of exhibits dug from Durankulak.

Not impressive
The lake looks beautiful and wild but it's not able to walk around it and to see it from different points of view. You are not able to observe from long distance, there is no any optical technique there to. The only thing you can do there for longer than 15 minutes is amateur fishing.
