Mozzie infested but pelicans seen
We were happy to see the pelicans and other birds from a distance with binoculars but a scope is needed for good views. We did not see any birdwatching hides, only a couple platforms and gazebos. There were a few signs and a visitor centre. There are Porta loos regularly along the path. The place is infested with mosquitos, literally infested. So you cannot peacefully do anything when we went in July. Also it was unbearably hot, 35 c. Everyone else was going along the path by car. Part of the path there are views every so often to the lake but then only dense shrubs and no view, no maps explained the lack of view so you end up walking for a long time without seeing anything but mosquitos. More could be done here to make it more user friendly to tourists.
