  1. 4.0 Plaja Mamaia (707 reviews)
    - Great spot to chill and sip beer while reading next to the sea

Relaxed scene, attractive people, beautiful water, and everything except the boardwalk is convenient. We spent three days crashing out on the sun loungers and sipping drinks by the sea. The water was cool but not cold and, assuming due to the pandemic, things weren't crowded. I found the service chairside to be more than acceptable and prices, we were paying in GBP, were affordable. The beach was clean and the sand was nice each day. I will happily come back again next year. See more..
  2. 4.0 Constanta Beach (147 reviews)
    - Only 3 months / year
    Beaches
    Constanta Beach image
Constanta and Mamaia beaches are a place to go only from June to September cause the weather is cold for the rest of the year. Do not expect too much from Romanian beaches but enjoy the sun , the Black Sea and outdoor activities. Under any circumstances do not eat and do not let kids to eat from those who are selling corn , melon or anything else directly on the beach cause you can quickly end at the hospital . Eat only in restaurants packed with people cause there food doesn't have time to alterate. See more..

    - Dust sand and wildlife...

    Sulina Beach image
A quiet place where you can listen the sea, birds and watch wild horses and cows. Music is is low, chillin' and vibing with nature. A lot of families with small children playing in the sand and enjoying the first 100 M of the sea under 1M depth. Warm and calm sea, teaming with banks of small fishes, perfect for "recharging the batteries". See more..
  4. 4.0 Corbu Beach (72 reviews)
    - Not worth the hype...

    Corbu Beach image
Corbu Beach is a fairly wide, wild beach, covered by beautiful shells and not so fine sand. Unfortunately, the beach gets invaded every summer by the campers and caravans, leaving lots of garbage behind them. The water is nice, no rocks or algae, but that depends on the weather, I suppose. The only place close to the beach where one can have something to eat is a restaurant called "Casa Veche", which boasts to specialize in fish courses. Don't be fooled, the place is a trap, with very bad food and unreasonably high prices. We ordered some grilled fish ("chefal") which was served almost raw, sushi style. In addition, during the entire meal, we had some very friendly companions, in the form of tens of flies, flying around the table and sitting on our food. The polenta ("mamaliga") was stale (not freshly made), full of lumps. On the bright side, the view was spectacular, as the beach, as I said, is very beautiful. The price for a 2-person meal was almost 30 EUR, but we were hungry when we left the table. See more..
  5. 4.5 Plaja de Carte (36 reviews)

    Plaja de Carte image
The only beach library in Europe. We have more than 3000 books, mainly in romanian but also in english, french and german. The books can be borrowed for 3 days with no costs, you only have to leave your name, email address and phone number. If you want to relax on the beach with the book, you can rent a sunbed for the day and enjoy the chill music and a cold drink from the beach bar. See more..
  6. 4.0 2 Mai (27 reviews)
    - My home away from home
Beaches • Beach & Pool Clubs
    2 Mai image
2Mai is such a beautiful place. I have been going there for a very long time now. Over the years I've seen a huge increase in tourists which is helping the locals. The saddest thing is that the tourists are actually ruining it. They come on weekends, play, party whatever it is they do and then leave the place in a mess. They drive like maniacs through the narrow streets that don't have bitumen, dust goes everywhere. The beach is beautiful with a camping and nudist section. If you want peace and quiet there are a huge amount of places to stay without all the hustle and bustle. See more..
