We found this place and stopped for a light lunch. We sat outside and had superb views of their occupied stork's nest as we took our break. Quite special and lovely. We had pancakes which were tasty and enjoyed. Good price too Service was okay. There seemed to have been some new staff who caused problems but it was all resolved easily and with good humour. It is a pity, but when my husband and I found this place whilst wandering around, it was on a Sunday, and the children's animal farm was closed. But we looked at all the animals which were around the edge of it where we could walk, and we also walked to a nice peaceful place nearby where we could sit on a public bench and watch the ducks swimming around. Bosbessenkwekerij de Haarakker nabij Langeveen is altijd leuk voor een uitje. Zelf bosbessen plukken en daarna koffie met (bosbessen) gebak nuttigen is een aangename bezigheid, Het in landelijke stijl opgetrokken, ruime theehuis sluit aan aan het woonhuis van de fam. Boers, Het heeft een prachtige authentieke uitstraling met veel eikenhout en ramen met roedes. Het (forse) meubilair is van een lichtere houtsoort en er is zelfs een geopend luik naar de hooizolder. Natuurlijk zijn er wel alle moderne gemakken, zoals vloerverwarming, een overhead projector en ruime toiletten (niet overvloedig).Op het menu staat o.a een ontbijt. 7 juni 2015 hebben we die genuttigd. Kortom; overweldigend! Zo stonden er meerdere soorten brood op tafel (duitse broodjes, krentenbrood, zachte bruine bolletjes), roomboter, gekookte eieren, meerdere soorten hartig beleg, kaas en huisgemaakte jam, Tijdens het ontbijt werd ook nog, charmant geserveerd door de dochter des huizes Yvonne Boers, een dubbele omelet en kwam een bord lange duitse knakworst op tafel. Als klap op de vuurpijl een warme wafel met slagroom. Dit is een echte aanrader voor een zondagmorgen. Alles wordt vers ingekocht of bereid; er moet derhalve gereserveerd worden. My husband and I visited here, and we were surprised at just how many small animals and birds that they have here in indoor cages and pens. The cages and pens are quite small, so I do hope that they let the animals out of the building where they are, and let them run around and get some fresh air regularly. There is even a large horse inside a building where the other animals are, and it is in a very small stable. We walked around outside and came across two cats in a small cage. I was so upset to see the cats caged liked that. I hope they let them out eventually. There are quite a few animals outside who have plenty of room to walk or run around, which is nice.There is also an outdoor children's play area. We also saw that there is a shop and coffee room, but it is open at limited times. I think this is a very interesting place for small children, although it left sadness in my heart to see these poor animals living in such small indoor pens and cages, especially the cats. We will return in the near future.See more..
ERF-1 is a farm where they produce organic dairy. A small herd with varied cows, which stand outside on the land during the summer. The land is not treated with chemical pesticides. In the farm shop you can buy raw milk, but also pasteurized milk, yogurt, different types of custard, hangop, buttermilk, butter, cottage cheese and recently also cheese. They also sell organic meat. The farm is run by the parents and two of their children. At the opening times you can view the farm and the animals (also fun for the children!). They are happy to tell about their work and are very willing to give information about organic work at the farm. It is all about the combination of healthy land, healthy animals, healthy products and a healthy lifestyle. The farm and the farm shop are open to visit on Friday afternoon, from 2 to 4 pm and on Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 noon.See more..
