4.5Porec Old Town(2.774 reviews) - Nice city. Historic Sites
Nice city. It was 15min from our hotel. For those who don’t want to go there on foot, there is a noddy train for 50HRK (~6,80€). There are many restaurants, narrow streets with little souvenir shops and beautiful seaside with lighthouse view. There are many boats and yachts in the seaport. We were amazed.See more..

4.0Round Tower(307 reviews) - A nice surprise Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
After walking around Poreč old town, finding this place after walking down a narrow street was a nice surprise. We almost walked past it then noticed it was a bar. Being a little thirsty after our walk we managed the steep stairs to the inside bar. So quaint and cosy and I imagine quite crowded on an evening. We then went up a further set of steep narrow steps to the roof for views over the sea and old Poreč. Service was good but the beer was better (after a hot walk). For an unusual place to have a drink this is as good as any. We only stopped off for 1 but I imagine this place would be good for an evening watching the sun go down. But don't drink too much as the stairs down are as steep as they are coming up hahahaSee more..
4.0Decumanus Street(274 reviews) - Beautiful historical street Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
During the walk thru Poreč you can not bypass the main street Decumanus. Like the former Roman colony Poreč retained the original Roman street layout. Among the many streets, the most important street is Decumanus. Decumanus Street is an impressive street, it has something for everyone. History, archaeology, architecture and some interesting bar. It was once glittering with many important palaces, but now it is unfortunately occupied by foreign sellers with bad Chinese products. Too bad. But the street still retained the original glow and people are happy to walk down this street.See more..
3.5Medulin Village(227 reviews) - Too touristic, but a good base for exploring more of Istria Historic Sites
I went to Medulin with my husband and teenage son in the beginning of August. At that time the streets and the beach are totally pact with tourist. The sandy beach turned out to be a disappointment. Mostly because of the water that was muddy and dirty. Shopping was not a pleasant activity as most of the sellers were to pushy and impolite. But Medulin can be a good base if you want to explore Istrias beautiful rocky beaches! Both we and our teenage son loved the spectacular beach at Kamenjak, where we could jump and dive from one of all the cliffs, as many meter above water as you could dare. In the evening we could choose from a large number of restaurants, and our favorite turned out to be Salt & Pepper at Sad 138.See more..
4.0Small Roman Theatre(106 reviews) - Shame it's not being taken care off Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
This is a small version of the famous roman theatre in Pula. It's tucked away in between the side roads and one can see graffiti and broken glass all over this place. I think it's time that Pula wakes up and start taking care of these little gems before they're completely destroyed.See more..

3.5Roman Ruins(84 reviews) - Worth visiting - and it's free!! Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
I disagree with other reviewers who feel that this area should be adorned with plaques. I liked the fact that it was almost incidental and surrounded by houses. For me, the lack of other people, and any tourist information, added to the atmosphere and my enjoyment of these ruins.See more..

The Zuccato Palace is a wonderfully preserved piece of architecture with Gothic-style windows and Venetian décor. It stands on the corner of Decumanus and Cardo streets. Its exterior is nothing like the exteriors of other buildings in the city since the stones were imported from the island of Korcula. The first two floors of this three story building are made of stone, while the second floor is made of brick and has been embellished by architectural details made of stone. The windows, made of reddish brick, on one side have a view on to Decumanus Street, while on the other side there is a view on to Cardo Street. The internal lay-out of the building has not been preserved; it has been transformed and is being creatively re-used as an art gallery – the Zuccato Gallery.See more..

This is one example of extraordinary architecture in old Porec. All one can see is the stone facade dating from the early 18th century. It’s style is in complete contrast with the ordinary shop that now lurks within it. Wonderful!See more..
4.0House of Two Saints(16 reviews) - 15. century building Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
In a paralell street of the Decomanus street stands this house. On the front facade of the building there are two statues of two saints. The name of the house derives from here. Most probably originally the statues were earlier on a sacral building.See more..

Not far from today's village of Guran are the remains of a large three-nave basilica with three square apses. The naves are separated by massive masonry blocks. The floor is made of small bricks laid in "”fishbone” pattern. The church features numerous fragments of decorated stone furniture. Based on its features and typology of architecture there are indications that this great church was built in the late 8th century.See more..
