The building is impressive and colossal....I feel sad for some people that does not appreciate the magnificent of the building. We drove our rental car up here from Porec, parking at the top where the shuttle bus unloads and near the parking ticket machine. The upper level entry road has plenty of space during the off season, especially in the morning. I bought a 1 hour ticket with my card for 10 kn and we walked 350 m up the cobblestone lane passing gift and truffle shops to the Town Gate. Then 60 m more passing restaurant diners enter the Town Wall Gate which empties into the main square with a perfect view of the 17th C St. Stephen. It was closed so we walked along the northern wall for its excellent viewpoints to vineyards, farm fields and forests. Our favorite view was from the Porec road 3 km south called “View Motovun” on Google maps and next to a roadway cafe. Nice visit on a clear day.See more..
4.0Decumanus Street(274 reviews) - Beautiful historical street Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
During the walk thru Poreč you can not bypass the main street Decumanus. Like the former Roman colony Poreč retained the original Roman street layout. Among the many streets, the most important street is Decumanus. Decumanus Street is an impressive street, it has something for everyone. History, archaeology, architecture and some interesting bar. It was once glittering with many important palaces, but now it is unfortunately occupied by foreign sellers with bad Chinese products. Too bad. But the street still retained the original glow and people are happy to walk down this street.See more..
4.0The Town Hall (City Palace)(210 reviews) - Its a lovely view and scenery Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
Its a lovely place to visit during the day or the evening. You always enter this forum during the day and the evening as its the entrance to pretty much everything in Pula, if you want to go Harbour you can enter the Forum. If you want to visit shops and places of food and drinks you can enter the Forum. One really nice thing is that they do shows during the evenings, so one of the nights we managed to get a table for food in the centre and they were playing live music, so a massive crowd joined to watch it was a really nice touch to add as they lit up Augustus Temple. Overall its a nice place to visit, and you will end up visiting this place. Don't expect massive miracles but is lovely to keep walking through each day. See more..

3.5Gate of Hercules(138 reviews) - Built by a woman Architectural Buildings
I notice the reviews aren't great, but I enjoyed the history, and the fact it was built by a woman, who's name is carved at the top!See more..
The Zuccato Palace is a wonderfully preserved piece of architecture with Gothic-style windows and Venetian décor. It stands on the corner of Decumanus and Cardo streets. Its exterior is nothing like the exteriors of other buildings in the city since the stones were imported from the island of Korcula. The first two floors of this three story building are made of stone, while the second floor is made of brick and has been embellished by architectural details made of stone. The windows, made of reddish brick, on one side have a view on to Decumanus Street, while on the other side there is a view on to Cardo Street. The internal lay-out of the building has not been preserved; it has been transformed and is being creatively re-used as an art gallery – the Zuccato Gallery.See more..
This is one example of extraordinary architecture in old Porec. All one can see is the stone facade dating from the early 18th century. It’s style is in complete contrast with the ordinary shop that now lurks within it. Wonderful!See more..
4.0House of Two Saints(16 reviews) - 15. century building Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
In a paralell street of the Decomanus street stands this house. On the front facade of the building there are two statues of two saints. The name of the house derives from here. Most probably originally the statues were earlier on a sacral building.See more..
4.5Porta Sanfior(9 reviews) - The main city gate Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
When you think this is the main entrance to the city it is quite small, however, as it was built in the 1500's it had a different purpose, it leads to wonderful cobblestone alleyways that are very walkable, however, can be slippery at times.See more..
