Beautiful historical street

During the walk thru Poreč you can not bypass the main street Decumanus. Like the former Roman colony Poreč retained the original Roman street layout. Among the many streets, the most important street is Decumanus. Decumanus Street is an impressive street, it has something for everyone. History, archaeology, architecture and some interesting bar. It was once glittering with many important palaces, but now it is unfortunately occupied by foreign sellers with bad Chinese products. Too bad. But the street still retained the original glow and people are happy to walk down this street.

    Shop until you drop
    Porec Main Street offers a great section of shops - good for clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses you name it and you can buy it

    Busy and vibrant.
    Decumanus Street is the main one in Porec and is pedestrianised. We took a leisurely stroll along this long, straight, street and found every type of shop imaginable. There is an abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars, ice cream parlours, etc. There were waiters standing outside most establishments doing their best to entice you in! If you look up, you will see some magnificent Venetian architecture but make sure you tread carefully over the cobbled stones as they are very slippery.
