- 4.5 Parish Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral (1.520 reviews)
-A designated World Heritage Site
Spent < 1 hour Churches & Cathedrals
Don't be fooled by the unassuming entrance to the Basilica, entrance is reasonable and worth every penny in my book for a glimpse of some of the treasures inside & out. Stand outs are the mosaics (Christ with the 12 apostles), 16th century bell tower & colonnaded atrium. Given the history and its tumultuous past dicing with fires & earthquakes its in remarkably good shape. See more..

- 4.0 Round Tower (307 reviews)
-A nice surprise
Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
After walking around Poreč old town, finding this place after walking down a narrow street was a nice surprise. We almost walked past it then noticed it was a bar. Being a little thirsty after our walk we managed the steep stairs to the inside bar. So quaint and cosy and I imagine quite crowded on an evening. We then went up a further set of steep narrow steps to the roof for views over the sea and old Poreč. Service was good but the beer was better (after a hot walk). For an unusual place to have a drink this is as good as any. We only stopped off for 1 but I imagine this place would be good for an evening watching the sun go down. But don't drink too much as the stairs down are as steep as they are coming up hahaha See more..
- 4.0 Decumanus Street (274 reviews)
-Beautiful historical street
Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
During the walk thru Poreč you can not bypass the main street Decumanus. Like the former Roman colony Poreč retained the original Roman street layout. Among the many streets, the most important street is Decumanus. Decumanus Street is an impressive street, it has something for everyone. History, archaeology, architecture and some interesting bar. It was once glittering with many important palaces, but now it is unfortunately occupied by foreign sellers with bad Chinese products. Too bad. But the street still retained the original glow and people are happy to walk down this street. See more..

- 4.0 Zuccato Palace (27 reviews)
-Worth a look.
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
The Zuccato Palace is a wonderfully preserved piece of architecture with Gothic-style windows and Venetian décor. It stands on the corner of Decumanus and Cardo streets. Its exterior is nothing like the exteriors of other buildings in the city since the stones were imported from the island of Korcula. The first two floors of this three story building are made of stone, while the second floor is made of brick and has been embellished by architectural details made of stone. The windows, made of reddish brick, on one side have a view on to Decumanus Street, while on the other side there is a view on to Cardo Street. The internal lay-out of the building has not been preserved; it has been transformed and is being creatively re-used as an art gallery – the Zuccato Gallery. See more..

- 4.0 Sincic Palace (19 reviews)
-Exceptional stone facade

This is one example of extraordinary architecture in old Porec. All one can see is the stone facade dating from the early 18th century. It’s style is in complete contrast with the ordinary shop that now lurks within it. Wonderful! See more..

- 3.5 Roman Ruins (84 reviews)
-Worth visiting - and it's free!!
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins
I disagree with other reviewers who feel that this area should be adorned with plaques. I liked the fact that it was almost incidental and surrounded by houses. For me, the lack of other people, and any tourist information, added to the atmosphere and my enjoyment of these ruins. See more..
- 3.5 Obala Marsala Tita (26 reviews)
-A lovely place to go for a stroll after dinner.
Spent 1-2 hours Scenic Walking Areas
We had several meals and drinks here while we were on holiday and were able to enjoy the breath-taking views of the Adriatic and the islands. You can’t visit Porec without walking along the embankment; it is in the main part of the town and it is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We enjoyed some very pleasant walks along the promenade, it is beautifully well-kept and there are many restaurants, cafes and stalls. We stopped for ice creams and then carried on walking again, everywhere is so clean and we didn’t see any litter. We saw lots of small boats and there were some impressive yachts in the marina.
