What a great way to spend the day in nature! Denis and his crew are nice and welcoming. We went kayaking (never done that before), so they explained all the important moves to us and put us in the water. River Gacka is slow and calm, so you can enjoy amazing views and nature habitat around it. We were super slow, so our journey lasted about 3,5 hours (ca 8 km). Don t bring a lot of stuff or food, just row and enjoy! :) See more..

We visited Ocean Pro while on holiday at Hideout festival. In between partying, we wanted to do some diving in Croatia's famously clear waters so after visiting three different dive companies, we thought ocean pro represented best value for money, and would be most enjoyable. We weren't disappointed - after 2 dives for 3 people, plus a friend snorkelling, we were really impressed with the equipment, staff professionalism and quality of diving. We took a small boat out for 6 of us which was fine, and one of the dive masters came along to get some great photos of us. We saw maybe 10+ octopus (on Octopus island) which was a highlight. If I returned to Pag I would definitely go diving with ocean pro again and recommend them to friends. See more..

We stayed 10 days with the guys from Galathea Diving Center and we really loved it! First of all the staff is very friendly, helpful and convivial. The dive masters Bela, Cheebor, Maté and Viktor are very experienced and showed us many interesting dive spots. The "captain" Istwan, who runs the diving center together with his daughter Sara, brought us safely to every diving spot. Sara, the instructor, is very friendly and knowledgeable. She really knows her stuff and can explain everything in detail. She can also give you the reasons and background regarding equipment, diving techniques and limits. Further, she really knows how to motivate and advance her students without any pressure. We can absolutely recommend this diving center, especially, if you consider starting to dive or doing any advanced diving course. See more..

15 min off the motorway, it is an interesting place to have a break on your way to the coast. Entrance to the cave is some 100m above the small parking, reachable by a narrow path up along the stream. Close to the parking, there is an information table with the plan of the cave. The cave is quite flat, inside there is a small lake and a stream which gets dry during the summer. If you are lucky you will find a small transparent crayfish. After some 120m, the cave becomes too narrow and too low to walk and it is not recommended to continue. Don't forget your lamp! See more..

It also marks the first spot where travelers from Lika towards the Adriatic can see the sea. The view is breathtaking. It is a must-visit landmark for every adventurer and traveler. I was looking for a place to stop on the drive between Zadar and Zagreb as staying in the car for that long is bad for my back. Kuterevo is signposted as 15km from the A1 Otocac exit so it was ideal as a quick place to stop pretty much half way between Zadar and Zagreb. Our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged almost 5 and newly 7 arrived about 1pm and stayed for about an hour. The volunteer who greeted us also mentioned that they usually feed the bears at 9am but could also do it another time if there was excess veggies so we were able to witness some lettuce feeding about 1:30pm. There is a sign with a suggested donation of 20 kuna per person although we had already decided to give more. There are lots of colorful signs made by the volunteers and even some with info on the bears. The (very clean) toilet is halfway between the enclosure for the 3 small/younger bears and the big bears. Bear in mind (no pun intended!) there doesn't seem any places to eat nearby. See more..

Had to leave few words about this amazing fjord. I'm coming to Zavratnica since I was a little girl and since I saw it for the first time I was blown away with beauty. There is hiking tray from beach area to the top of Velebit mountain. The legend is saying that in 615 AD earthquake struck the area and 3 of Roman cities were whipped off in it. However there is Italian ship from Second World War there that u can snorkel around. Also Zavratnica and Velebit has 79 endemic species. Highly recommend to visit. See more..

We visited here on our trip from Senj to Pag Island. Departing at 8:30 AM, we had the curvy paved highway nearly to ourselves, arriving at the Babić Siča Northern Velebit National Park station at 9:30 AM. After paying 60 kn for 2 seniors, we continued upward for 5 km on a decent but narrow dirt/gravel lane until arriving at the large Zavizan parking area (half filled with hiker cars) with restrooms and detailed trail signage. The clear sunny weather was a delight at this mile high mountain as was the UNESCO information board describing the 2017 addition of 2 nearby ancient and primeval beech forest reserves. We walked toward the beautiful small St Antun Chapel passing several large gnarled beech trees and groves among the dramatic limestone outcroppings. See more..

We went as a family of four and I would highly recommend it. It cost us £120 . You go to the base and complete all paperwork, staff are friendly and helpful and there is a coffee shop and lounge to wait around in if needed. You are then driven about 5 mins drive up the nearby mountain , after being kitted out in all your safety gear. Once at the top you are all connected up and off you go . The first section over the tree tops is great . You then emerge out over the valley and back to base ,all in about 90 seconds I would guess. Great sensation. Worth a stop if in the area. See more..

We were not (un)lucky enough to see some wild animals but it was fantastic adventure and perfect hiking trip! Yes of course it was cold but not too cold so we could really enjoy.
