    Shelters hand built with fieldstone.
    We stopped here on our trip from Porec to Pula to see these amazing structures. They are similar to southern Italy’s “trulli” used for housing, except not as tall or detailed as these are primarily used for field shelters. Looking up inside, it's fascinating to see the field stone corbelled into a cone roof without using mortar or timber framing. Now on to the Parish Church of St. Blaise that is seen in the distance.

    Happy accident
    Stumbled upon this site by total accident whilst driving from Vodnjan to Rovinj but it was a nice little pit stop. Very interesting to learn about the kazun and see how they are built plus some nice locally produced souvenirs to buy. You won't need long but if you have a car and are in the area I would 100% recommend stopping and having a look around.
