Our gins are crafted with nature: water from our spring, home-grown botanicals, fresh honey from our bees. We re-sow, replant, give back to nature. Real craft means graft. When it’s time to distil, we question, experiment and invent epic gins, including some never imagined before. We do it in small batches in our gorgeous bespoke copper stills, Curiosity and Satisfaction. So, raise a glass with us: to craft, to the land, to laughter and loved ones. 9. 5.0 Ultimate Warbird Flights (166 reviews)
    - Out of this world - an unbelievable experience
Monday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Air Tours
    Ultimate Warbird Flights image
My wife booked the Ultimate Warbirds Spitfire experience for me as a birthday present. After longing for many years to fly in a spitfire, we were at a firework competition coming out of the second Covid Lockdown and the Grace Spitfire was booked to fill a vacant slot that should have been occupied by one of the displays. The narrator told the ‘Grace Spitfire Story’ that was captivating to say the least, unbeknown to me my wife was equally captivated and took the plunge. All things about experience were conducted to an exceptionally high level by a really knowledgeable, thoughtful, eager-to-please and dedicated team who made everything run smoothly. I had to be rescheduled once, as being late in the season, the weather is less predictable than in the summer and we fell foul of it; they couldn’t have been more apologetic, equally keen to reorganise and always with a smile. You are the centre of attention on the day, the briefings are conducted very well and once in the air the experience is amazing. I was flown through a phenomenal sequence of aerobatic manoeuvres by Mark, my pilot on the day who just inspired and instilled confidence and I was encouraged to make the controls a fair bit too, and not just for the straight and level stuff! Within reason you can do what you (and your pilot) is happy for you to do safely, alternatively they are more than happy to do all of the flying. You are talked through every step of the way both on the ground and in the air and your face will ache from the smiling when you’ve finished. Memories to be savoured and re-lived, and no doubt bore others with for many years to come. Thank you to the amazing team at Ultimate Warbirds! (Ps P51 next Darling??) See more..
  10. 5.0 Grand Union Narrowboats (103 reviews)
    - First-class experience
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Boat Rentals
    Grand Union Narrowboats image
We would like to echo all the other positive reviews about the narrow boats from Grand Union Narrowboats in Weedon. Having owned and cruised on our own narrow boat for five years, we wondered whether renting a boat would measure up, but it did! We couldn't fault Londonweed, or Steve and his fantastic and helpful team. We loved the interior layout of the boat, the kitchen and bathroom set-ups, and particularly all the good storage areas throughout the boat. There were extra thoughtful touches, including flowers and a bottle of wine, as well as games to play on board. We would highly recommend Grand Union Narrowboats to anyone wanting to cruise on the English canals, and hope to be able to use them again ourselves. See more..

  14. 4.5 Royal & Derngate Theatre (1.105 reviews)
    - School of rock- fantastic
    Theaters
    Royal & Derngate Theatre image
School of rock was amazing. We were in the front row of the stalls and the view was brilliant. The show itself was brilliant and we really enjoyed it. The only issues were connected to organisation. Customers were not permitted to enter the auditorium until about 10 mins before the start of the show. This lead to vast numbers of people accumulating the foyer before it started and then a mass of people trying to get to their seats at once which was not a good experience. Thankfully the show itself made up for this. Ice cream was sold inside the auditorium but this was cash only (which seemed strange when the theatre had mentioned being a cashless venue). There is a car park next to the theatre which is very convenient but a nightmare to get out of at the end (not the theatres fault though). See more..
  15. 4.5 Stanwick Lakes (953 reviews)
    - Great place - long queue to pay for parking
Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Bodies of Water • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Stanwick Lakes image
Lovely day out for whole family Didn't eat in cafe but food looked good and it was busy Parking is well worth the £3 however there was a huge queue to pay ( no longer pay on the way out but at a pay station. ) One of the machines was not working and it wasn't until I had queued that I read the notice that payment could be made in the visitor centre. Maybe make the sign visible from elsewhere - or at least outside of the pay station See more..
  16. 4.5 Althorp House (791 reviews)
    - Small & Sweet
Spent 2-3 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Althorp House image
Thoroughly enjoyed my visit, though I agree with other reviewers that £25 is a princely sum for what there is to see, the house is delightful but compact. The walls are chocker with ancestor portraits plus some more modern pieces, it has a nice feel & you can envisage it as a family home. Lots of rooms are gated off, so access is limited & photography isn’t permitted inside. The gardens aren’t fancy, just parkland, but the lake, & island where Diana rests, is rather lovely. Discreet. There is no longer a Diana Exhibition, it finished in 2013, & I like that the current Earl hasn’t sold his soul to tourism by mawkishly capitalising on his famous sister, but a few more references to her would be welcome, as, let’s face it, she’s the reason most of us have heard of Althorp. Aside from a portrait or two & the odd family photo, Diana is a slim presence. Althorp opens to the public for a limited period, July through August. Disabled parking is close to the house, but the regular car park is a 15 minute walk. See more..
  17. 4.5 Canons Ashby (696 reviews)
    - Nice House and Gardens
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Historic Sites • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
    Canons Ashby image
Ancient and peaceful, Canons Ashby is far removed from today’s bustling lifestyle. Medieval canons built their priory near the small village of Ashby but following the Dissolution the village was lost leaving a curiously truncated church. Nearby, the Elizabethan Dryden family built their home. Over the succeeding 450 years additions and alterations took place to reveal the current blend of architectural and decorative styles; little has changed since the 19th century. For conservation reasons it is not possible to have all rooms on permanent display. Outside is a pretty terraced garden, typifying the formal 18th century style then fashionable, and an ancient parkland and paddock offering space for fun as well as contemplation. Our busier times are weekends. On busy days we operate timed tickets, these are available for you to select upon arrival at Visitor Reception and last entry to the house is 15:30. See more..
  18. 4.5 78 Derngate (649 reviews)
    - A Mackintosh marvel
    Monday: Architectural Buildings
    78 Derngate image
78 Derngate is the only house in England designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is now a multi award-winning visitor attraction offering an unforgettable day out in Northampton. As such, the house has drawn many thousands of visitors from around the globe. Now you can follow in their footsteps and see this unique work from one of Britain's most influential and celebrated designers. - A lovely way to spend a few hours
Monday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Gardens
    Coton Manor Gardens image
We visited earlier today and parked in the free car park directly opposite the property. There arecsome steep steps to negotiate however there is another elderly/ disabled friendly car park nearby which is well signposted. Our visited was only an hour or so but a thoroughly enjoyable one. The grounds are beautifully presented and there was a little bit of everything including a water park and a large wooded area. We liked the pink flamingoes and of course the ducks also. There is a little shop and a decent cafe as you enter/ exit but for £9 per adult( there are concessions) this place is superb and well worth the money paid. Visited 26th May 2022. See more..

    Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks

I've visited here several times, in the snow and the sunshine and it's a lovely park. On Sunday's there is a band playing in the band stand, there's a lovely cafe with seating, and across the road there is a play area for the kids - and if you carry on further down the pathway you come across the duck pond which is lovely. I have walked my dogs around here and they love it! There is also the Abington Park museum very close to here, and a bird enclosure in the park that you can walk through, and in the summer there'll be ice cream vans around too! See more..

  27. 4.5 Kirby Hall (326 reviews)
    - Hidden Gem
Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Historic Sites
    Kirby Hall image
Really enjoyed our visit today. The audio guide was really good with lots of information and I would recommend using this if you can as it helps to visualise what parts of the hall would’ve looked like. The fact that some of the hall is only a shell doesn’t detract from the experience at all. There isn’t a cafe on site but you can get a take away coffee or tea and there are outside tables to sit at. See more..
  28. 4.5 East Carlton Country Park (318 reviews)
    - Lovely countryside park, dinosaur trail.
Monday: 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
    East Carlton Country Park image
Visited east Carlton park twice in the summer holidays with a little girl (4). We had a lot of fun feeding the ducks, visiting the cafe, playing in the play area and doing the dinosaur trail (how good was this that you could take pictures with the children and dinosaurs). Would recommend and visit again. I understand covid is still on going but indoor seating would be welcome especially when the weather takes a turn for the worse. See more..
