Great place - long queue to pay for parking

Lovely day out for whole family Didn't eat in cafe but food looked good and it was busy Parking is well worth the £3 however there was a huge queue to pay ( no longer pay on the way out but at a pay station. ) One of the machines was not working and it wasn't until I had queued that I read the notice that payment could be made in the visitor centre. Maybe make the sign visible from elsewhere - or at least outside of the pay station

Awesome, faultless and very refreshing
Absolutely love this place. Only discovered it this Summer since moving to Northants couple of years ago It has everything you could want for a relaxing and energising morning, afternoon or even day out. It has something for everyone of all ages. Its fabulous for families but also has plenty for those meeting a friend or a couple or a single person or to take visitors new to the area. The lakes, the wildlife, wild flowers and scenery are stunningly beautiful and the whole place is lovingly looked after. All the staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Two ladies in the visitor centre were so warm and welcoming in helping me with my query and understanding more about the various Stanwick lake cycle paths and routes. Loads of options for sitting indoor and outdoor to enjoy refreshments. Also plenty of grassy areas to take and enjoy your own picnic too if you want to keep costs down. Cannot wait to visit again in the Autumn!
