    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Worcestershire Beacon image
We walked the hard way, from Great Malvern, so maximum height to get to this highest point. But there are numerous ways that start higher so easier. Walking up here is wonderful. Looking down on a hovering kestrel was magical. The tracks are so many it’s hard to follow any footpath map, and despite pleas to keep dogs contained and to only walk on the paths to protect nesting birds and wildlife, sadly many dogs were racing all over. But it’s definite worth a visit :-) See more..
  3. 5.0 The Falconry Centre (281 reviews)
    - Far better than expected
Monday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
    The Falconry Centre image
I must admit to not expecting too much from our visit here but I am pleased to say how wrong I was. However I do suggest that you must time your visit to take in the flying demonstration which is both very informative and entertaining for even those who are not into birds of prey. We were there to watch our son in law have an "experience" session. It was a birthday present which led on to the flying demonstration and we were there for around 4 hours. At £5.50 I thought it great value for money. They have plans to extend into the adjoining field, the work has already started and it should be very impressive when completed. See more..

    - Lovely
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Spent More than 3 hours Historic Sites • Parks • Gardens
    Croome image
Expect the unexpected. Incredible innovation, devastating loss, remarkable survival and magnificent restoration. All in one place There’s more than meets the eye at Croome. A secret wartime airbase, now a visitor centre, was once a hub of activity for thousands of people. Outside is the grandest of English landscapes, ‘Capability’ Brown’s masterful first commission, with commanding views over the Malverns. The parkland was nearly lost, but is now great for walks and adventures with a surprise around every corner. At the heart of the park lies Croome Court, once home to the Earls of Coventry with four floors to explore. The 6th Earl of Coventry was an 18th century trend-setter and today Croome follows his lead by using artists and craftspeople in the house to tell the story of its eclectic past in inventive ways, perfect for making new discoveries. 11. 4.5 Hanbury Hall (1.195 reviews)
    - Lovely ‘little’ country retreat.
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Historic Sites
    Hanbury Hall image
Very interesting to look around the house. It was a quiet day on the visitor front so we had a guide in each room on hand to keep us informed of the former occupants and the house itself. The gardens were very ornate and well kept, although November probably isn’t the best time to see them in their full splendour (that’s our fault though, of course, not the gardens’). Well worth a visit for a couple of hours. See more..
  12. 4.5 Witley Court & Gardens (893 reviews)
    - Magical Fountain and Ruins
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Historic Sites • Gardens
    Witley Court & Gardens image
I have been wanting to visit this place for a while and was not disappointed! The guy in the little shed by the mansion was very friendly and welcoming and I found the audio guide from there very informative. No-one offered me one at the main welcome centre though so I think I missed all the audio clips between there and the entry shed. I loved exploring the ruined mansion and imagining how it must have been in days of old with all the grand parties. The Perseus and Andromeda fountain was a magical display to watch and seemed to bring people together to enjoy it which was nice. The nearby baroque church is definitely worth a visit if you have time along with the Garden Tearooms. I did seem to miss out on the Sunday Music event though as the musicians were just standing around chatting every time I walked past which was a little sad. See more..

  15. 4.5 Bewdley Museum (517 reviews)
    - What a gem and so much more than we expected
Monday: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM Speciality Museums
    Bewdley Museum image
What a gem this place is! It would be easy to put your nose into the first bit without realising there is much more and it is free. "Museum" is not the best description - it might be better described as an "Experience". Essentially it is about Bewdley, the area and it's history with really good displays but there are craft areas too and demonstration areas as well as a cafe with outdoor space and lovely garden areas to sit and enjoy. On the day we went, there were also guides who were happy to give us a quick introduction tour which was very helpful as we hadn't realised the full scope of the site, We will be back to enjoy again for sure and will certainly recommend to friends visiting the area See more..
  16. 4.5 Little Owl Farm Park (472 reviews)
    - Our favourite local day out
    Monday: Farms
    Little Owl Farm Park image
Wonderful visit as always. We’ve been visiting over the last 8 or so years and have loved seeing the farm park grow and see the new developments, every time we come there’s something new. The staff are always so warm and welcoming. The new petting barn is a great addition, as are the new animals. We loved meeting the animals in the ‘animal encounters’. We visited during the jubilee weekend so it was quite quiet. We always feel it’s good value for money, and unlike some places they don’t try and rip you off. The tractor ride in particular is a highlight. Keep doing what you are doing as you are all amazing - thank you ❤️ See more..

    - Lovely place to go to

    Worcester Woods Country Park image
Two nature reserves, a huge open field, busy countryside centre with award winning cafe and easy access from the city or the motorway, make this site very popular. There are two adventure play parks, ancient woodlands to explore and space to fly a kite or have a game of rounders. During school holidays you'll find a timetable of events to keep children entertained, which include jewellery making, sports sessions and arts and crafts. Two waymarked trails occupy the park if you fancy a stroll, one through the beautiful and colourful meadows and the other through the shaded woods. The park has an orienteering course and geocache for those on a quest. A popular place for families, where young and old can get together, maybe enjoy a summer BBQ or picnic or just take in the friendly environment that awaits you. Dogs welcome. See more..
  19. 4.5 Great Malvern Priory (405 reviews)
    - Beautiful building, enthusiastic friendly people
Monday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
    Great Malvern Priory image
The Priory is a beautiful building which is well looked after. We were welcomed by Mary, a lovely lady who told us a lot about the building. We were able to access most of the priory even though people were busy making preparations for a concert later in the day. Rod, the vicar, gave us lots of information about the history of the building, the tiles and the monks stalls which was very interesting and entertaining. The enthusiasm of the people involved made this a very pleasant visit. See more..
  20. 4.5 Greyfriars' House and Garden (383 reviews)
    - Amazing survivor.
    Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
    Greyfriars' House and Garden image
An NT property well worth a visit if only for the history lesson… Visits to the building are by guided tour only, ours lasted about 80min, but there are seats in most rooms where you can sit down if standing for more than a few minutes is a problem. Not quite the usual NT experience, very refreshing, and our guide was a mine of fascinating information, we were able to have a most interesting chat with him post tour too. The teashop is available without (we think) paying the tour fee, the loo facilities are a bit limited tho… See more..

  23. 4.5 ABC Boat Hire (350 reviews)
    - Perfect long weekend
    Marinas
    ABC Boat Hire image
Perfect 4 day cruise for 4 people on a 49ft boat from Lowesmoor marina around the Droitwich Ring. ABC staff were excellent and providing a full explanation of what to do and where to go etc so we set off on a clockwise route out of the marina. The weather was perfect and our first stop at the Camp Inn we enjoyed a drink listening to some local live music along with a resident peacock and geese! We would highly recommend this route for a short weekend break or similar as its the perfect balance of duration with locks and pubs etc along the way without being busy.
