El trato por parte de los chicos de la organización desde el principio fue inmejorable, y las respuestas a través de whatsApp súper rápidas.

Carlos, el Capitan del bote, es una gran persona y un gran profesional. Muy atento, explicando en todo momento lo que veía...

El equipo está en contratante comunicación con la otra parte del equipo que se encuentra en el observatorio, a mucha altura Iara indicar donde se encuentran las ballenas. Además de ver muy de cerca a una ballena con su bebé, vimos también dos tiburones ballena.

Para terminar, con los peces que pescaron durante el viaje hicieron un ceviche estupendo! Nunca había probado nada igual.

En definitiva, una de las mejores experiencias que hemos tenido aquí en Peru.

I was fortunate enouth to visit Palo Santo Sanctuary in Canoas Punta de Sol, near Thumbes. This gem is a secret place where I was able to find myself again. I can’t say enough good things about Vanessa and Pawel! From the moment I arrived I felt welcome and safe. Their positive energy radiates in such a way that you want to spend more time in getting to know them personally. In every moment of my stay, they made sure I was comfortable and helped me navigate through my healing process. The experienced maestros were so wonderful and were key in guiding the energy of our spiritual ceremonies. They were crucial in the safety of our private experience and their beautiful icaros songs still resonate in my mind. I have been back home a little over a week and as I go back to my normal life, I feel light, at peace, spiritual and mentally reset. I can’t wait to go back next year! We visited this sanctuary in late October. We went on an organised tour with an agency from Tumbes, as we felt the logistic would be easier this way and we are glad we did. We saw a great variety of birds including magnificent frigate birds, Peruvian pelicans, little blue herons, cocoi herons, yellow-crowned night-herons, white ibises, ringed and green kingfishers, whimbrels and snowy egrets. We also saw various species of crabs, fish, shrimps and black shell clams. The visit was by motorless boat, which being silent allowed to see the birds up close. This sanctuary is much less visited than nearby Puerto Pizarro and as such is much more interesting for birdwatchers and nature lovers. See more..

Just a mile outside Tumbes is this wonderful preserve - Pacific Dry Forest (Bosque Seco) - with only native species present. There is a short pathway through the forest and many birds abound. There is a 4 storey mirador, or lookout, giving a 360 degree panorama of the Tumbes area, and a very good restaurant serving local dishes. Unfortunately it is very under-used, but well worth the visit - only a short moto-taxi ride from Tumbes. See more..

Puerto Pizarro is 100% nature North of Tumbes City, at the beginning of last century was a big port but know is left only with their domestic fisherman, People are very nice and willing to help at any time, The bird Island is amazing!!! but, the crocodiles are trap, they keep them dirty in a very small pool. A weekend my family and I had the opportunity to know this amazing place, I could see that this city is perfect for water sports lovers, another of the reasons that tourism attracts is commerce, clothing, shoes and other things are very cheap. Tumbes, is located in the border with my country "Ecuador", for that reason my family and I decided to make this trip, although it was not as we expected. My aunt was victim of a theft in the streets of that city, she had the camera in her hands and surprisingly the thief hit my aunt , finally the thief ran away, for this reason I think Tumbes has a beautiful tourist attraction that is the beach, but particularly my family and I had a bad experience. Nice way to spend the morning or afternoon. Relaxing and great for your skin. Take a change of clothes for after and make sure the clothes you wear into the baths are ones you don't care too much about, as the mud will likely stain them. Keep your eyes open for the little foxes (zorritos). They are all over and come and go as they please. Definitely worth the 5 soles they ask for using the facilities. The water in the baths is on the salty side, so take some water to drink as it will dehydrate you after some time. Make sure you ask your moto or taxi driver to wait for you, as there are no taxis or motos in the area. It is in a remote area outside of Zorritos, in the desert. You don't want to have to walk back. Worth a visit if you're staying in the area for a few days. See more..
