    Huayruro Tour Lagunas image
We have just got back from the 5-day (4 nights) tour and we can say with ease that this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We arranged the tour with Miguel via Whatsapp, he was really quick to respond and so helpful- we ended up going on the tour the next morning, it was all arranged super efficiently. We were given the best tour guides, Emilia and Jose, who were incredibly kind and made us feel so welcome despite our Spanish not being very good at all! They were incredibly knowledgable about the river, the animals and the plants. Throughout the trip we saw a huge number of mammals, birds and fish and we were really happy to be able to do this all on a canoe, offering a really environmentally friendly way of exploring the river and jungle and also ensuring the trip was peaceful, serene and just amazingly beautiful. We can't recommend this tour enough! Again, a huge thank you to Jose, Emilia and Miguel. See more..

The 5th Dimension Healing Retreat image
It's been almost a year since I found myself deep in the amazon on the banks of the river at the most amazing jungle retreat one could imagine. the 5th dimension. The shamans were authentic locals with years of experience. Its clear to see the 2 brothers that own it have put their heart and soul into building a beautiful facility. You couldn't feel safer in the hands of the staff at the 5th. The food is unbelievably fresh and for an ayahuasca diet there was no shortage on flavour. Thier medicine was very strong and every single person who attended that week had incredible experiences. If your looking for a safe, authentic retreat then look no further. I can't speak enough good about them and I can't wait to return. Thanks boys for the trip of a lifetime. See you again soon. CHEERS :) See more..

Together with a friend I did a 4 day jungle excursion into the reserve. The organization was amazing, the collective to yurimaguas, the boat ride and the whole tour in lagunas worked out perfectly. Our guide Roldan knew everything about any plant or animal - you could ask anything. He spotted animals for us in the most hidden spots and knew to identify every sounds of birds. I was amazed also by his fishing abilities with a speer.in general these guys are all so connected to the jungle, it is just fascinating! The food they served was always good and plenty, fresh fruits as a snack and fresh fish from the river. A highlight was the bathing in the river with the Piranhas :D Thanks a lot for this unique and unforgettable experience! I hope to return one day! See more..

    - Probably the most mystical place in the jungle, a real insider tip!
    Art Galleries
    Francisco Grippa Art Gallery image
Before to get there, I had no idea I would meet such a place. Francisco Grippa is a great artist and his house is just amazing. At the time, there was no fix price but you had to pay the ladies and maintenance. The rooms are very basic and I wouldn't recommand this place for people looking for a jungle resort, but for people looking for a true magical jungle experience. Francisco lives in the jungle since 40 years and his painting is as colorfull as his character. The house is just incredible and just for the view you get over the town of Pevas, the Amazon river and the all jungle, it's worth a visit! See more..

  22. 4.5 Amazon River (345 reviews)
    - Aria Amazon is tops!
Friday: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Bodies of Water
    Amazon River image
Our recent one-week cruise on the Aria Amazon was an extraordinary experience, and one of the very best river cruises on which my wife and I have ever participated. The ship is kept in superb condition and was always clean and in top operating condition. Fiorella Salazar, the Aqua Expeditions Cruise Director, did a wonderful job day-to-day seeing that every passenger’s every need was anticipated and fulfilled. Our four nature guides, Alex, Ricardo, Julio and Billy, were the most professional of any we’ve ever experienced on a river or ocean cruise. Their English was great and their knowledge of the local flora and fauna were encyclopedic. They worked hard to ensure our enjoyment and learning were maximized on every skiff exploration. We met Carlos, the bartender, on the second day and he addressed us by our first names. THAT shows how good the crew training was on this ship and cruise. See more..

    Winston Jungle Tours image
By chance, we met Winston in Yurimaguas who was very helpful. He explained to us different options to go to Iquitos without selling his services and at the end he just said that he had tours in Pacaya Samiria. Although it was elections week end he did everything to able us to do the tour. We took the opportunity and it was really great ! Our guide was Esteban so we were 3 on the canoe (without motor, so the only way is paddling). It is the best way to discover the forest. We saw so much animals : parrots, birds, butterflies, caimans, dolphins (pink and grey!!), paiche. Esteban was a very good guide, patient, very good cooker (he went fishing during night to cook the fresh fish for lunch, delicious ! ). I advise you to go to Winston because all is well organized. Jungle Amazone Adventure image
i just came back from lagunas, i was in the silva (jungel) 5 days and it was very nice! in urimaguas i conttact one guy called Winston and he helped me with all the organization, its cost 150 for a day, plus 20 for a day to the national park (not include the transport to lagunas). when i arived to lagunas the Guide met me and took me to a nice lady that gave me a room in her house for the first night there. in the second day in lagunas we started our trip, all the trip is by "kanu" boat withput a mottor.. 100% natural. in the first 2 days we saw a lot of monkeys and birds but no crocodiles because its the rainy season and you have to go much deaper in the jungel to see them. catching fishes wasnt posible because there is too much water and the fish is spredded every where... but in the 3rd day we went to small part of the jungel that wasnt flooded and say an huge rat (4 kg) and monkys.. and in the night we went again and saw tapir and a gaint fox. the way back takes 2 days as well and its a little enoying because you see again the same nature. but the 3rd day was awsome and i really liked it! oh and during this days i saw eagel catch a fish, 2 nucturnal birds sleeping on the very low trees, 3 slowths, tarnatula and many other cool animals!!
