   The Adriatic is one of the loveliest Seas in the world, and Matko, born on Brac, was an awesome skipper. During the May/off season, the famous winds from the Sahara (Bura) kept us from visiting the Blue Cave, but Matko was so professional and communicative bout keeping us up to date on that. We just wanted a day on the water on a boat. Matko took us to lovely locations for a v reasonable day price, including Hvar and the surrounding islands. The jet-setters like Hvar now, but Matko pointed us to a "normally priced" restaurant for lunch --highly appreciated and Delicious Sea Bass! On the trip back on his speed boat, I also like that when he announced that we'd be "speeding" back to Brac for an hour, he looked at me, ard 60 yrs old, w/a Q mark in his eyes.    We drove as a couple to Sladic Winery from Sibenik after having tasted one of their wines (Debit 2018) in renowned Michelin-starred restaurant Pelegrini. Marko Sladic himself let us try 6 of their wines, we appreciated the informal home setting and the generous portions. He even provided bread, cheese and olive oil to enrich the tasting experience. The whites (Marastina, Debit) were complex with an appropriate level of acidity. The rose was on the strong side. The reds (Plavina, Lasin) were earthy, medium-body with significant amounts of tanins. We also tried the limited edition dessert wine (Deorum) which was excellent, with the right amount of sweetness and liquorish.    A beautiful and interesting natural park 5 kilometers from Biograd na Moryu. There are three entrances, each of which you can buy tickets for, and each of which has different things to do. We visited the lake itself (Crkvine entrance), here you walk about a kilometer on wooden paths in the lake and watch birds (there were quite a few birds, see the photos). Then we drove to the Kamenjak entrance, it is on top of one of the hills - from here there is a great view of the lake and the islands along the coast. The experience was definitely worth it.    The statue itself is beautiful, but the view is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend coming here to enjoy the sunset over Primošten and nearby villages. Also, there’s a bar, so you can enjoy coffee or beer and there’s also an icecream for your kids. Must visit while in Primošten! See more..

   We were on a 7 day cruise from Gruz, Dubrovnik to Split. We stopped at 2 islands per day (including Mljet, Korcula, Brac, Hvar, Omis, to name but a few), with at least one swim stop every day in some deserted bay along the way. Every night the boat was docked overnight so you had the opportunity to spend the evening. The food on board was amazing considering the size kitchen chef Monika had to work with. Sime the barman/host was brilliant making sure everyone was looked after. Friends you make onboard will become friends for life (if you want them to be) or you can find peace and quiet onboard if this is what you are seeking. This is an excellent way of seeing some the Adratic highlights and we would definitely recommend. See more..

   We took a 20 km tour of the island highlights that included this beach. No charge to park in the off season with the restaurants closed and no one around. It's easy to see the wide appeal of this spot with the calm pool to swim, the nice beach to lay out, the rugged low rocks for the youth to climb about and even a small port.
