My family and I all went to Croatia recently and the Canoe Safari Cetina was the first activity we did. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was stunning - crystal clear waters and a nice breeze while canoeing. The 11km journey is great as you get to see a lot of different scenery and experience many rapids. I was initially worried that the skill level would be difficult for all of us to handle but the rapids and drops are definitely manageable even for someone who is not athletic in the slightest. The guides are also always alert and watching out for you so you can rest assured you'll be safe during the trip even if you fall in (which is actually also a great way to cool down). Overall, I highly recommend doing this trip if you are remotely close to Split as a lot of people only experience the coastal beauty of the country but miss the rivers and mountains that the country has to offer. We decided to go Rafting with Croatia Rafting, after executive manager Ivan Stanić gave us all the information we asked for. We were 5 adults and 4 children from 6 to 11 years. We had an AMAZING expierience and the best guide: JURE who managed to safely get us to the end of the trip. His english was perfect and he was a very experienced guide who managed to make us feel safe and gave us perfect instructions and even sang a song with us! A+ experience from start to finish. Neno and his wife Heike that own the company are both fantastic. Great communication about the process, incredibly fun day rafting the river. We used their transfer service from Split which was very economical. Guides are all knowledgable of the river. River is an easy river, nothing too extensive with rapids. Great way to beat the heat, see the beauty of the Cetina River, do a little canyoneering, climb into a cave, and do some cliff jumping. The guides carry a professional camera and take fun photos along the way. They sell the photos for cheap after the tour. Rafting itself is very reasonably priced as well. Neno is a talker and tells many great stories along the transfer from Split to Omis. I loved hearing all his stories about his travels and Croatia. Don't hesitate to book direct with them either. This was a trip that will go down into memorylane. An experience that my girlfriend and I will never forget. From the pickup we did not know what to expect ( I booked the rafting without reading it too well) and it surpassed our expectations from what you could do on a day. The rafting was a well balanced journey between safety and adventure and we would recommend it to everyone visiting split. We spent a day rafting on Cetina River. Our host was extremely welcoming so from start to finish we had the most amazing day. It was a day completely filled with laughter. We swam, jumped from ropes, jumped from cliff, drank from waterfalls, swam down rapids. Couldn’t recommend highly enough and was definitely one of the highlights for our trip in Croatia.See more..
