Absolutely charming! The store is a sight to see and offers three stories of books and wonderment. There’s a modest English section on the second floor as well as a few old/antique books on the top floor. The books are priced quite high comparative to other shops but it’s worth it for the visit and a nice espresso in the accompanying cafe. See more..

    Sint Annamolen Keent image
Nothing but praise for the volunteers of this mill. We read about the open day online and decided to go visit. We expected to just see the mill from the outside and maybe a glimpse of the ground floor, instead we were pleasantly surprised with a very informative private tour by volunteer miller Louis Morre. He explained how the mill operates, where certain expressions regarding mills cone from and made it very entertaining and interesting even for our 6 year old. If they have open days and you are in the area it's (definitely also because of these great volunteers and their love for the mill) very much worth a visit! See more..

  30. 4.5 St. Benedictusberg Abbey (16 reviews)
    - Peacefull and spiritual
Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks
    St. Benedictusberg Abbey image
The Abbey of Saint Beneductus near Mamelis is build in 1923,a nd designed by the architect Dominicus Boehm. It is a peacefull and quiet place, where one can enjoy the ‘singing in the silence’ of the monchs, the Gregorian chant. It is situated near a forest where one can walk and reflect. I have been here several times, and it always boosts my energy, and reduces any stress level. The monchs are very polite. The food is good and tasty, and on Sundays one even gets a bottle of beer (as the monchs) during the meal. The church in which the Gregorian chants are sung is designed by Dom Hans van de Laan, who became very famous with this architectural style. He went back to the essence of a building, which led to a sober, but very functional church. See more..
