The inside of the church is like many other churches and has many historic graves on the floor. As you look around you do see that the church is seeking funding to refurbish the ceiling and parts that showing the age of the church. For a few Euros, you can climb to the top of the red tower and get a great view of the valley and city. Th climb is about 200 steps so plan on the long climb. There is a history room about 1/3 the way up the stairs and a great place to rest. IT is tight squeeze to get by the people coming up and going down...do not bring a backpack on the stairs. The church is a very nice place and lots of history of the Reformation.See more..

The small white chapel is located just outside Thorn. The chapel is also named "Chapel Under the Linden ( Basswood )". Sobere protestantse kerk uit het begin van de 18e eeuw. Rijksmonument. Van de oorspronkelijke kapel op deze plek (uit 1480) is niets meer te zien. Wel is een een fraai koor in laat Gotische stijl. In de tweede Wereldoorlog werd het gebouw ernstig beschadigd doch snel daarna weer provisorisch hersteld. Een totale renovatie volgde pas in de 90- jaren.See more..
