Nice location with an interesting historical background

The Fliegerhorst has a large history in early aviation and WW2. There are a lot of remains in the surrounding woods. Mostly regained by mother nature. Nowadays the glider teams of Venlo and Eindhoven use is frequently. Unfortunately there is little information to be found at the terrains itself.. beside a memorial at the German Dutch border which runs through it. Very nice to have walks.. especially when the gliders are taking of and landing.
