The ruins of a Magestic medieval castle to visit
The ruins of this castle which towers over the historic town of Valkenburg is well worth a visit. There are explanations marked along he way to identify each room and the history of the castle is explained in detail with maquettes of what it looked like in different centuries. The outlook from the ruine over the town is impressive and there is a nice restaurant/ cafe near the top to relax in and cool down with a drink.

Mixed feelings
Yes it is an interesting location, yes there is a lot of history and you can spend some time here enjoying the views over Valkenburg and learning. However some of the information boards are worn out, making it hard to read, sometimes impossible to read everything. That is a pitty, again a lot of history to grab here.
