Cool city gate!
This gives the city a very nice ambiance, just like the other gates in Valkenburg. Really cool, for just one euro you can go inside and go all the way to the top (limited view because of the glass and wood). But it is definitely worth it! Very nice!

One of a number of pittoresques gates which controlled entry to the town
This is one of a number of gates located on a stream ( the geul). It’s where the town walls used to be. At the gate there is an information desk and a machine that makes commemorative coins as a keep sake.

Interesting gate
We were only able to see the outside of the Geulpoort as we visited Valkenburg very early in the morning. But it is always interesting to see that this has been redone to restore it to it's original glory
