  1. 4.5 Cicada Market (5.459 reviews)
    - Spend an evening people watching
Monday: Spent 2-3 hours Art Galleries • Flea & Street Markets
    Cicada Market image
This is a great place to sit, have a drink, and people watch. It’s a very large market that combines food, drink, art, and music beautifully. It’s only open on weekends. It’s well designed and lit with thousands of white lights and filled with white tented vendors. There was no way to see all of it in just a few hours. Before you can buy any food or drink you must stop at the coupon booth because they only take coupons. If you buy too many you can return them for a refund up to an hour before closing. Very enjoyable evening. See more..
  2. 4.0 Hua Hin Beach (4.664 reviews)
    - Hua Hin beach post Covid
    Beaches
    Hua Hin Beach image
In 2022 I spent 2 months in Thailand, March-May with 24 nights in Hua Hin. Of the 24 nights I walked Hua Hin beach 20 mornings after breakfast. The beach is one of the longest stretches of beautiful beaches I’ve seen in my travels. With covid still visible in the rear view mirror, the beach was sparse with tourists which was great for me. On Sunday’s there is giant kite instruction and several in the air. Daily there is rentals of beach wind carts, jet skis and horseback rides. The water was warm but cool enough to get relief from the extremely hot Thai sun. For me this is some of the most enjoyable and affordable forms of exercise in Thailand. Highly recommend. See more..

  4. 4.5 Hutsadin Elephant Foundation (1.899 reviews)
    - Visit to Hutsadin Elephant Foundation
    Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Hutsadin Elephant Foundation image
At Hutsadin Elephant Foundation we provide a better, safer, and more caring life for our elephant family that have been rescued from circuses, logging, mistreatment, injury and ill-health. When you visit us, on entering the Foundation you will notice that there are no walls, fences or gates and the area is completely open and next to a busy main road. Chains are necessary at the Foundation for the safety of the elephants and visitors. Elephants are large and potentially dangerous animals and chains are an important and responsible aspect of managing elephants in a traditional way in South East Asia where there are no enclosures to safely contain the elephants. We offer our visitors a range of activities that promote a close interaction with our elephants in a safe and enjoyable environment, for both elephants and visitors. Your support will help us to obtain secure land and bathing pools for our elephant family to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you soon! See more..
  5. 4.0 Hua Hin Night Market (1.680 reviews)
    - A must do for food lovers
    Flea & Street Markets
    Hua Hin Night Market image
While the size and buzz around the market has been impacted by covid the enjoyment hasn’t changed. There’s a huge variety of street foods and a cluster of ‘roadside’ type restaurants. Also numerous market stalls selling all your typical souvenirs and fake clothes etc. If you want to‘eat like locals’ this is the place. A full fresh seafood meal with alcohol costs £15-20 a person. Incredible. You can watch the seafood being prepared and cooked too. A great night See more..
  6. 4.0 Huay Mongkol Temple (1.523 reviews)
    - Excellent
Natural History Museums • Architectural Buildings • Religious Sites
    Huay Mongkol Temple image
What a stunning statue, of the Monk who performed miracles to those who needed. You will need a good hour to walk around this religious park, have some cash to donate and there are some souvenirs. It's free entrance and there is a coffee shop and ATMs. Taxis were not available from there so you would need to pre book one or ask the one who brought you there if they could wait for you. I would recommend to come really early on morning, I was here from 0800hrs so you can avoid crowds and the heat. The statue itself is breathtaking, and so many things to see and do. Highly recommend! I hope my miracle happens. See more..
  7. 4.0 Monsoon Valley Vineyard (1.500 reviews)
    - Feb and Mar best time to visit.
    Monday: 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wineries & Vineyards
    Monsoon Valley Vineyard image
Thailand's most well-known vineyard. But it seemed to be a bad time. The season's over so a vineyard tour wasn't going to be purposeful, the famed Sala restaurant was closed for renovations so we settled for lunch at the Farm Bistro. Food was pricey but I supposed that's expected of a vineyard. The best dish for me turned out to be the Garlic Cheese Bread. Had to pay a THB200 per head entrance fee as we drove in, but this could be offset against any spend here (food or retail). Clearly, we spent it all on food. See more..
  8. 4.0 Market Village HuaHin (1.245 reviews)
    - Very Western & Convenient
Monday: 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls

  9. 4.5 Black Mountain Water Park (1.229 reviews)
    - Value for money
Monday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Water Parks
    Black Mountain Water Park image
We went to the black mountain water park after we were recommended to by a member of staff at our hotel. We were originally going to go to Vana Nava, but with with 2 kids under 10 we knew that there would be a lot of flumes that they would be too small for so opted for here instead. It was ok! The kids had a great time, me and the hubby got a little bit bored though. There aren’t that many water slides but the kids could go on all of the ones they do have. There were no queues at all and the food at the restaurant was reasonably priced. Over all it was nice chilled day, we spent 4 hours here think we would have been pushed to spend anymore time. It was cheap entry compared to Vana Nava at around 1/2 the price (including our taco) We had a nice time, it wasn’t an adrenaline filled day like some might be looking for when going to a water park, I would recommend for family with younger kids. 10. 3.5 Chopsticks Hill (Khao Takiab) (1.151 reviews)
    - Small temple on the hill
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts • Religious Sites
    Chopsticks Hill (Khao Takiab) image
The temple seems nice, not a lot of steps to climb, near the sea. Have a lot of monkeys around this area, according to tour guide, those monkeys are quite aggressive so better stay away from them. A lot of local seafood restaurants around so can spend few hours here to have lunch. See more..
  11. 4.5 Phraya Nakhon Cave (793 reviews)
    - Enjoyable and manageable hike with a reward at the end
    Caverns & Caves
    Phraya Nakhon Cave image
Hike to the cave was relatively steep. But it was manageable for us although we were not the most outdoor-sy people around. Proper footwear for the hike would be best. Hiking the the cave and seeing the temple inside was great! I really like the fact that there are many information boards during the hike to share facts about the place. We could have hired a guide for 200tbh at the main restaurant area but only realised this after the hike. Aside from the temple, there are also inscriptions on the cave walls and also natural earth formations like stalagmites and stalactites as well as a dry waterfall. Will definitely recommend this attraction to everyone if you are fit to hike. Fee to enter is 200tbh. Refreshments can be bought at the restaurant at the start of the hike at Laem Sala beach. - Monkeys
Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites • Monuments & Statues
    Wat Khao Takiap image
There are warning signs everywhere - with accompanying photos - of the injuries caused by these aggressive monkeys. The long, impressive flight of steps up to the main stupa is so steep that I had to give up half way , probably missing out on a boatload of merit. However the humans on site are friendly. The surrounding statues (including a couple of plaster dinosaurs) are worth a photograph or two as well See more..
  13. 4.0 Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall (636 reviews)

Bluport Hua Hin Resort Mall image
Some places are a little expensive (their sport shop sells Manchester City shirts and shorts though with 40 percent off). Plenty of food places and choice. Almost everything is here including a cinema and banks etc. The thing I visited for was the Hua Hin immigration office for visa advice. They're open from 08.30 to 15.30 Monday to Friday. I found that should I need to I can extend my visa by 30 days, then a further 7 days without leaving the country. Now that's useful. See more..

  23. 4.0 Khao Hin Lek Fai (253 reviews)
    - Bird's eye view of Hua Hin
    Mountains
    Khao Hin Lek Fai image
A bird's eye view of Hua Hin. There are 6 lookout points here and we managed just 3, #4 to 6, cause a few of us wasn't dressed for this (not originally planned but came across it when we were there) plus it's not entirely proper paved trails. #6 was most amazing, but also most dangerous. There wasn't a proper viewing platform, and no barricades or support. A slight slip could send one to the bottom of the forest in seconds. On the way back, our path was filled with monkeys, scavenging tourist trash such as plastic bottles strewn on the ground. Am glad the monkeys here didn't seem as aggressive but it was still a little worrying seeing them appear in hoards. See more..
  24. 4.0 7 Kings of Siam Statues (250 reviews)

7 Kings of Siam Statues image
On the return leg of the journey of a cycle ride, I swung left into the Ratchabak Park – to witness the awesome standing Seven Kings of Siam. As statues go, against a sunset or sunrise, these are a splendour and a half! The Seven Kings of Siam, sounds like a movie. There should be such a series (if there already isn’t). The history of each king is rich and diverse. Thailand is a rich land of freedom and the Thai history has royally shaped the present. These statues stick out far and wide. They're sighted in a facility for training NCOs. They're sacred. People come here on pilgrimage. I’d recommend to anyone to have a gander and learn a little history whilst you’re at it. Wear long shorts and cover your legs as required. See more..

    Kui Buri National Park image
You park your car, buy the ticket (1,050THB at the time of writing) and then walk through onto the back of a pick-up truck. There is little shade so a hat and sun cream might be advisable. My guide had basic English and then just kept eyes peeled for any creatures of which you have an apparent 80% of seeing. Was lucky enough to glimpse a family of elephants through the trees thanks to the guides beady eyes but it was very hot, and would think more activity towards closing time (18:00) than opening (14:00) as previous reviewers have suggested… Beautiful place to just be though in a 1,000KM2 natural forest. This was a 10min walk from our villa. It’s a free attraction where you can marvel at the tall Buddha statue. At its foot there is several other Buddha statues that you can pay your respects. A donation will grant you flowers to place and a gold leaf stamp to put on the statue for good luck. There are steps further up but it looks steep and we were with parents so we decided to skip it. Other than that the place still serves as a good viewpoint over the seafront. See more..
  28. 4.0 Klai Kang Won Palace (146 reviews)
    - You cannot visit this palace, all photos for the wrong palace
    Historic Sites
    Klai Kang Won Palace image
This is the current King's palace and you cannot visit it. As a number of other reviewers have pointed out all the photos and all the reviewers that say they have visited here have actually visited Mrigadayavan Palace. Why don't trip advisor get a grip and either delete these misleading reviews and photos or move them to the reviews of Mrigadayavan Palace? I went there yesterday and they are definitely photos and reviews of there. This is the problem with the public being able to review places without any check being made, they can write rubbish that misleads the rest of us. I nearly spent the day and paid for a taxi to visit this palace but fortunately some reviewers do know what they are talking about and advised it would be a complete waste of time and money. For Art's Sake image
This is one of a number of similar galleries around Thailand that have clever displays of 3D artwork. The idea is that the visitor can pose against a picture and effectively become a part of it. As I was on my own, a member of staff followed me around, posed me with some of the works and took happy-snaps with my camera. The results were quite amusing. Its a bit of fun and gets you out of the heat of the day for an hour or so. It is in the town so no means of transportation are necessary to get there. The entrance is free and surrounded by market. The steps are wide and easy to climb but during the day it's hard because of the sun. Beware of the monkeys. They are not scared at all and some of them tend to attack. The locals go up with long bamboo sticks banging them on the steps to scare the monkeys away. It seems to work. The views from the top are really nice and worth this short climb. See more..

    Wat Khao Krailart image
I gave this temple a "VERY good" rating mostly because the spectacular view a visitor has after having climbed a long stair case. Wat Khao Krailas sits on top a mountain at the southern end of Hua Hin inbetween two other temples also on mountain tops. Each is different, all afford great views. This temple appears old and a bit neglected, but is still quite charming. Several large Buddhas grace the mountain, but you have to look for them: in a cave, in a small wooden hut, on the hillside looking east and one looking south. According to a nun I met, this Wat is a lonely place, sees few tourists and, therefore is good for a moment of quiet contemplation. See more..

Inside is a beautifully decorated building with a choir and full children's orchestra. The mass opened with "Joy to the World", sung and played with a passion words will fail to explain. 80mins later the mass was over much to my regret , ie the opposit to home experience. My partner and I spent over two weeks doing daily lessons with GoKite Asia and were 100% delighted with the school and quality of instruction. Everything from the condition of the gear to their safety standards was top notch. Aron, in particular, is a fantastic instructor; he's great at modeling your skill level and offering tailored feedback and suggestions while making sure you feel safe and in control the entire time. Miko (one of the owners) was our point of contact for scheduling the lessons, renting gear, and everything business-related. He's smart and savvy, very knowledgeable and also very fair. He's also a superb instructor if you have the opportunity to get a lesson from him! This school is simply the best in the area, and the obvious choice for kiting in the Hua Hin / Pranburi area.
