Lonely, old temple with a view

I gave this temple a "VERY good" rating mostly because the spectacular view a visitor has after having climbed a long stair case. Wat Khao Krailas sits on top a mountain at the southern end of Hua Hin inbetween two other temples also on mountain tops. Each is different, all afford great views. This temple appears old and a bit neglected, but is still quite charming. Several large Buddhas grace the mountain, but you have to look for them: in a cave, in a small wooden hut, on the hillside looking east and one looking south. According to a nun I met, this Wat is a lonely place, sees few tourists and, therefore is good for a moment of quiet contemplation.

    Beautiful but slightly forgotten
Large temple complex that has sadly not been kept up-dated. we decided to visit and climbed the many stairs up. once up there is a small shack where the local monk lives, a few biuldings and the temple which was not open, as the top there is a smapp shrine attened by the locals. The ponds are overgrown as are the many statues but it worh a look as the views are beautiful.
