3.5Chopsticks Hill (Khao Takiab)(1.151 reviews) - Small temple on the hill Points of Interest & Landmarks • Lookouts • Religious Sites
The temple seems nice, not a lot of steps to climb, near the sea. Have a lot of monkeys around this area, according to tour guide, those monkeys are quite aggressive so better stay away from them. A lot of local seafood restaurants around so can spend few hours here to have lunch.See more..
4.0Wat Khao Takiap(645 reviews) - Monkeys Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites • Monuments & Statues
There are warning signs everywhere - with accompanying photos - of the injuries caused by these aggressive monkeys. The long, impressive flight of steps up to the main stupa is so steep that I had to give up half way , probably missing out on a boatload of merit. However the humans on site are friendly. The surrounding statues (including a couple of plaster dinosaurs) are worth a photograph or two as wellSee more..
It is in the town so no means of transportation are necessary to get there. The entrance is free and surrounded by market. The steps are wide and easy to climb but during the day it's hard because of the sun. Beware of the monkeys. They are not scared at all and some of them tend to attack. The locals go up with long bamboo sticks banging them on the steps to scare the monkeys away. It seems to work. The views from the top are really nice and worth this short climb.See more..

The best time to photograph it is morning to midday when the sun is shining on the front of the monument. It stands out quite majestically in the centre of town and compliments the view of the nearby Khao Chaong Kra Chok. A main shrine surrounded by four smaller ones in each corner. Nicely kept.See more..
4.5Tan Chet Yot Temple(20 reviews) - Tarn Jed Yod temple in Prachuap Points of Interest & Landmarks
My house is near Talnjedyod temple. Every auspicious day my parents take me to make merit, offer offerings and release fish. This place used to be just a normal temple. But now has developed a lot. It is decorated with stucco and trees. very ornamental flowers This place is also a place to listen to the Dharma and the Dharma camp for children. And there is a hospital for the elderly as well.See more..
My wife and I visited this shrine on a day out from Pak Nan Pran. The shrine is a little way out of town so hire a scooter or scooter with covered sidecar. The shrine is quite small but clean at the top where the crocodile and small shrine are, when you head down to where the large Buddha and bell tower are it’s a bit unkept and grubby. The views from the top are good as you get to see the river and mangroves across Pranburi. Nice to combine with the forest park. See more..
