What a lovely experience we had at ' Sabai Sabai '. I went with 3 friends for sunset + we picked a cozy corner with a large, comfy sofa looking right out at the dynamic view. There are suspended nets to chill out in, bar stools + areas for eating at tables. 8. 4.5 Long Beach (2.160 reviews)
    - Incredible!! Bright indigo ocean as far as the eye can see!
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Long Beach image
This is the nicest beach I've seen in Thailand! Not very crowded, and there are plenty restaurants and shops to get a cold drink at so you dont necessarily have to stay put if you dont want too. The water is perfectly temperate for those 35+°C days. There is a restaurant called LYMs on the beach at the long beach chalet resort, the food is great and prices there are very reasonable, I would recommend that to anybody who finds them selves in the long beach area. I'll be coming back here garunteed! See more..
  9. 4.5 Koh Rok Island (1.538 reviews)
    - Absolutely Fantastic
    Islands
    Koh Rok Island image
This without doubt has to be in the top 10 places to snorkel in the world. I’ve swam in other tropical places around the world & on some special reefs, but this place takes some beating by a long way. Our hotel ( Layana) in Ko Lanta arranged everything for us in a group of 12. Maximum was 16 so no crowds. Yes there was other boats around at the stopping off points but I was able to swim in 3 different locations & nobody came within 100mts of me. The fish are soooooo abundant & the varieties are to many to mention. The water is so clear. To be honest you’d think you were swimming in an aquarium. If you get the chance? Just go!!!! See more..

  14. 4.5 Khao Mai Kaew Cave (313 reviews)
    - Great adventure
    Caverns & Caves
    Khao Mai Kaew Cave image
We got quite a bit more than we expected. The whole trip requires some sure footedness. The walk to the cave is in the forest which is very pretty and they have made ladders in the difficult places. the cave is awesome but we were warned there are some difficult bits which turned out to be easily manageable as we are relatively fit and do walk at home alot. We were lucky in that our guide spoke very good English and was really informative about the area, the history the culture and the farming, as well as the caves itself. It certainly enhanced our experience. Most of the cave is spacious so I did not get claustrophobic as I have done in other caves previously. See more..
  15. 4.5 Nui Beach (255 reviews)
    - favorite beach

    Nui Beach image
Really quiet and beautiful beach. Takes a little effort to get there but it's really close to Paradise I'd say. One little bar at the beach itself which is playing some music and one bar on the steep path down to the beach. Overall laid back feeling and great water condition as well. Just be cautious when going down the hill to the beach. Will be 100% worth it. See more..

    Ko Jum image
If you want an authentic taste of Thai island life then Koh Jum, in the region of Krabi is the perfect place for you. It's a tropical bliss is what a friend of my told me who had been there , so this is where i was headed for my Christmas break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Koh Jum is probably one of the few peaceful islands in Thailand where you can still be completely alone on the beach at times. Let's hope they keep it that way it is nice sometimes to be away from all that loud music party atmosphere it's certainly a great place to clear your inner soul. We stayed at the Rock View Terrace it was just perfect by the calm sea waters i highly recommend this cute resort. See more..

A friend and I had the chance to walk along this beach one afternoon. The sand is pale white and the water crystal clear. I really wish I could've spent more time here. There is a masseuse on the beach as well. Next time I come, I might stay at one of the bungalows on this beach as it looks to be the perfect place to vacation. See more..
  19. 4.5 Thung Yee Pheng Mangrove Forest (61 reviews)
    - Kayaking in the mangrove
    Spent 1-2 hours Forests
Thung Yee Pheng Mangrove Forest image
We suggest renting the kayak directly at the Thungyeepeng Natural Study and Eco Tourism Center. We went there because the price was the same as in the travel agencies around but they let you kayak as long as you want (or can). We arrived at 8h30 am and stayed for 2h30. It was enough for a trip of 8-10 km in the mangrove. It was absolutely gorgeous! We saw a lot of monkeys, some of them came in the kayak. We followed the long tail boats and found the green tunnel, but we were also able to reach smaller ones were the other boats couldn’t go. Our best experience in a mangrove forest! Note: Keep your gps with you, not to get lost in this maze. If you stay in the main channel, no risk at all. See more..

  22. 4.0 Lanta Old Town (2.858 reviews)
    - Very interesting visit
Historic Sites • Historic Walking Areas
    Lanta Old Town image
Lanta Old Town is a small village on Ko Lanta's East Coast in Krabi Province. Many years ago, Ko Lanta's Old Town acted as the port and commercial center for the island and provided safe harbor for Arabic and Chinese trading vessels sailing between the larger ports of Phuket, Penang and Singapore. Today, Old Town is the district capital; it has a post office, police station, Buddhist temple, Chinese temple and the island's hospital as well as a long pier. See more..
  23. 4.0 Mu Koh Lanta National Park (994 reviews)
    - Don’t bother
    National Parks • Parks
Mu Koh Lanta National Park image
We were exploring the west coast of the island when we got to the park entrance and thought why not. At 200bht per person plus an amount depending on your type of transport, it’s not cheap. It’s actually a tiny amount of space. Most of the one beach isn’t swimmable unless the tide is fully in due to the number of rocks. The beach sadly has lots of washed up litter on which we were surprised, especially given the park entry fee, wasn’t being cleared. The scramble up to the lighthouse gives a good view but is a 10 minute activity. The staff seemed more interested in keeping the grass immaculately manicured than anything else, which jarred with this being a national park. We saw one small lizard the whole time we were there. We saw more wildlife on the ride down. Would not reccomend the time/cost of this See more..
  24. 4.0 Khlong Khong Beach (280 reviews)
    - Beautiful Sunsets
    Beaches
    Khlong Khong Beach image
Khlong Khong is a great beach. The water is as hot as soup during high tide and little to no wave activity, typical of the coastline. Unfortunately, during low tide you cant swim owing to a dead reef (caused by construction, beach modification and tourism). The establishments along the beach are really nice, with a family friendly and chilled vibe. No doef doef of Phuket and Phi Phi. Plastic straws and plastic water bottles remain a problem. So if you ever visit any of the places along the beach please decline straws. Sometimes a single round of drinks between 4 of you can rack up 8 straws! So any education about this would go a long way. See more..
  25. 4.0 Lighthouse (96 reviews)
    - Great Views
    Spent 1-2 hours Lighthouses
    Lighthouse image
I went to the National Park by scooter (first time on a scooter and the roads to the park were a bit challenging but doable). The path up the the lighthouse was short and not difficult. The view was lovely. There is a walking trail in the park and a stunning beach. Worth the trip See more..

  27. 3.5 Khlong Chak Waterfall (357 reviews)
    - A nice little adventure
    Islands
    Khlong Chak Waterfall image
I am not a big beach fan and we were staying at the Anda Lanta resort, which is literally at the end of the track to the entrance to the trail leading to this little adventure, so it was a perfect opportunity for us. Unfortunately, you have to pass a so-called elephant sanctuary that claims to be ethical but is most definitely not, offering elephant rides and we saw them hitting the elephant. We went in early December, so the waterfall was still flowing nicely. The path is a bit slippery, and we were advised to stick to walking through the river which some of us did while one of us walked the path, it didn't make much difference. The cave although small was an added bonus. Very few people were doing it when we did it which was also nice. See more..

  29. 3.5 Koh Lanta Old Town Pier (24 reviews)

Koh Lanta Old Town Pier image
We enjoyed a quiet stroll, after sunset, through old town. The Chinese lanterns look beautiful between the shops and shine softly in the night sky. Although, slightly unkept, my 6 and 3 year old loved the playground! They were also able to walk all the way down and up the ‘old town’ street, without feeling tired. We also had dinner at Pinto Restaurant - a tucked away gem. See more..
