Came across this lookout as we were driving and I am so glad we stopped. This look out has some of the most gorgeous and picturesque views of Lungern. We stayed here for about 15 minutes taking in and admiring the beautiful view. We couldn’t believe how perfect the view looked. When I posted a photo of this on my social media, my family and friends thought it was photoshopped. That is how perfect it looks! Just returned from the ski camp in Zermatt. Andrea is an amazing ski instructor, skilled at teaching people at all levels. He is friendly, patient and able to communicate and do exercises in a way that works. We had three half days of instructions and reviewed video recordings afterwards. All very helpful and I look forward to putting what I’ve learned to use on the slopes over the winter. On top of that, the hotel provided was very nice with a spa and great breakfast. See more..

Zum Abschluss unserer Melchsee Frutt Woche, wollte ich den Kids noch ein spezielles Erlebnis zu Teil kommen lassen und bin mit ihnen in den Seilpark im Melchtal.
Die Einweisung war toll und die Leute da sind sehr freundlich.
Der Seilpark ist absolut genial gelegen, in einem märchenhaften Wald.
Die Touren sind sehr gut angelegt und es hat allen viel Spass bereitet. Ich war erstaunt, wie mutig auch die kleinen waren.

Diesen Seilpark kann ich wärmstens empfehlen! Es ist ein geniales Erlebnis für die ganze Familie. Auch für kleinere Kinder (die Pfideris) hat es einen eigenen coolen Seilpark.

Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

um ihren fachmännisches Können anzuwenden. Sehr preiswerte Oase zum herunterkommen und sich selber verwöhnen lassen.

Sie stimmt die Behandlung perfekt auf den Hauttyp ab und geht auf jeden Wunsch ein.

Ein Highlight sind, unter anderem, ihre tollen Massagen, während denen man entspannen kann und danach das Gefühl hat, zu schweben. Ich kann dieses Kosmetikstudio nur weiterempfehlen, es könnte nicht besser sein!

Diese kleine Privatseilbahn im hinteren Engelbergertal gehört mit zu den abenteuerlichsten Luftseilbahnen der Zentralschweiz. Es handelt sich im Grunde genommen um zwei separate Seilbahnen, da man in der Zwischenstation Rugisbalm umsteigen muss. Spektakulär ist sie vor allem, weil die Gondel an zwei separaten Laufwerken hängt und nach vorn (oder hinten) kippt, sobald sich die Steigung des Tragseils nach einer Seilbahnstütze ändert. Dadurch hat man während einer kurzen Schrecksekunde das Gefühl, dass sich die Gondel vom Seil löst. Insbesondere bei der Talfahrt ist dieser Effekt spürbar, wenn die Gondel über die Felskante gleitet und steil ins Tal hinunter fährt. Nichts für schwache Nerven!

Die Seilbahn lohnt sich vor allem als Start- oder Endpunkt von Bike- und Wandertouren. Wir sind in Engelberg gestartet und ca. 2 Stunden zum Lutersee gewandert. Der Weg führt grösstenteils bergauf und bietet immer wieder einen schönen Blick auf Engelberg. Nach einer kurzen Rast bei der Berghütte am Lutersee ging es weitere 30 - 40 Minuten auf einer gut ausgebauten, leicht abfallenden Bergstrasse zur Bergstation der Seilbahn.

Preis: CHF 9 (Einzelfahrt), CHF 15 (Retourfahrt)

Tipp: Die Seilbahn Mettlen-Rugisbalm-Lutersee ist Teil der Buiräbähnli-Safari. Mit dem Buiräbähnli-Pass spart man Kosten auf den einzelnen Strecken. See more..

After our lunch at the Engelberg Alpenclub and learning that the cheese used in our fondue came from the local monastery, we had to go see it. This is Switzerland’s only publically accessible artisan cheesemaking production within a monastery. Inside the monastery store, we watched cheese being hand-produced and regional milk being crafted into specialities, such as the famous “Engelberger Klosterglocke.” The monastery was built in 1120 and to date there are still approximately 30 monks living and working there. For someone who had not done snow-sports before, this place was amazing. I came here earlier this week with my family and our friends who live in Switzerland. They repeatedly visit this resort and I can see why. We all went sledging at the resort and it was so fun. The views were spectacular and the route to sledge down was brilliant. The gondola ride was efficient and the stations for the ground level and mountain level were clean and had clear signage throughout. The staff were helpful and friendly too - much needed for a nervous novice. I now have the snow bug and want to return…snowboarding next time! See more..

This is a lake halfway up the cable car ride to Titlis from Engelberg. The view of the mountain from the lake is fantastic and the lake has self driven row boating and several trekking trails around the lake. Is peaceful. There were benches and a hammock around lake to sit and look at the lake and the mountains above. Has cows with traditional bells around their necks, grazing in the pasture below, but beware of the electrified fence. This is also the point where alternate cable car to the Mt. Titlis peak can be used other than the revolving cable car, we did not try this though. See more..

The courses varied from easy to very challenging with one peaking at 18,5 meters up in the trees. Recommended if you enjoy a little adventure. Riding zip lines was the most fun part.
