Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums

- 4.5 Einsiedelei St. Verena (134 reviews)
-Reviews are accurate...it's a like a fairy tale
Spent 1-2 hours Nature & Wildlife Areas
What a cute, charming, almost spiritual experience to walk through this valley. It was cool and misty when we were there, and had a "rain forest" almost Muir Woods-but-smaller vibe. Easy walk from the river, and an excuse to hit the sights and shops on your way to and from. Met a few people walking their dogs, and couldn't help but be jealous of their daily access to this natural beauty. See more..

- 4.5 Goetheanum (89 reviews)
-Marvelous designed building
Monday: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM Architectural Buildings • Convention Centers
Even if you don't know Rudolf Steiner and his movement, you experience the spiritual calm and beauty. There are architecture walking routes along the anthroposophical villas in the neighborhood. The Goetheanum looks stern on the outside, because of the grey color and massive forms, Inside, there are many beautiful details. the wooden doors, lamps. stairs, the library with bookshop and cafe etc. The great auditorium hall with paintings is only open some days for an hour in the afternoon and in summer often closed. Also, there are art exhibitions adding to the feeling of the Gesamtkunstwerk. Entrance is free and there are a few paid parking spots; the railway station and tram 10 from Basel are within walking distance. Outside there are wildflowers and animals - a great place for all visitors. See more..

-Great adventure in beautiful scenery
Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
The rope park is something for almost all ages. Lots of people visit the place during the summer months on the mountain Balmberg above Solothurn. To get there you can either take a car, bike or walk (very hard) or use the public transport system (bus)! You get instructions by professional guides and are equiped with everything you and your friends / kids need. There are several different courses on different levels. Some of them are for kids only, they are always attachet to the protection system. Then there are very tough ones for people older than 14. You also find a playground for babies and very young kids and a little restaurant with toilets. The scenery is breathtaking and the whole park hidden in the forest a jewel within the the Jura mountain chain. If you find at least 4 hours of time, go there!!! See more..

It takes roughly half an hour to walk there from the town centre of Solothurn and it is definitely worth doing it providing it’s a nice day. You see fields, old churches and monasteries, beautiful houses and gardens so it is a pleasant walk.
