My husband and I just returned from Switzerland and went on a moped tour with Mofun. This was a great way to see the beautiful scenery, the motorbikes were easy to use and comfortable, and the owners of the company were very helpful, safe and knowledgeable. It was also helpful that they speak English and answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend this company and look forward to renting their mopeds again next time we go to Switzerland! - 5.0 Rotiberg-Kellerei (6 reviews)
-A real gem
Sunday: Wine Tours & Tastings
Wilchingen isn't a very big place, but the Rötiberg-Kellerei is someplace you should definitely make a point to visit! Nichole was fabulous to visit with and very knowledgeable about the wines and the general history of the region. Fortunately for us she also speaks excellent English. We had a great experience and each successive wine was better than the previous. If we could have, we would have purchased several more bottles, but checked luggage does have it's weight limits. Highly recommend you make it a point to visit Rötiberg-Kellerei. you won't be disappointed. See more..

An amazing place and a great view of the beautiful city of Schaffhausen. For the less able to walk up many steps to reach the site I advice taking the # 4 Bus across the street from the central train station for 3 stops. this will take you to a slope down short walk to the site and a great view. You can access the site from a hanging bridge and you can walk down the steps to the old town. Do not miss walking up the spiral way to the top for some great photo opportunity of the awesome scenic view See more..
- 4.5 Altstadt Schaffhausen (311 reviews)
-An unique medieval Swiss Town
Spent More than 3 hours Neighborhoods • Points of Interest & Landmarks • Historic Walking Areas
We came to Schaffhausen in May22 to see the Rhinefalls & to visit this beautiful 16th century medieval town. Schaffhausen is best known for its geographical location as it is overlooking the Rhine River and has its 3 sides surrounded by Germany. When we arrived, we were totally amazed by its quietness and peacefulness, plus the beautiful paintings on the facades & the extended window bays at many of the beautiful houses in this old town. There are many attractions in Schaffhausen, such as the old town, the Cathedral, the Fortress, and the Rhine Falls. Please pay a visit to Schaffhausen when you visited Zurich. You only need to spare a day or half to visit this beautiful old town. (The train ride only takes 40 mins from Zurich Station) See more..

-Lovely and worth your time
Temporarily closed - Closed until Apr 6, 2023 Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • History Museums
This museum includes a cloister (Kloster) with lovely renaissance frescoes, historical references to Roman history depicted along with lots of Saint George and other religious figures. It fits in beautifully into the village of Stein am Rhein and you can transport your mind back to what it might have been like to live in prior centuries--albeit with modern plumbing. Definitely worth the small admission fee. There were a few other tourists, but no big crowds. See more..
- 4.5 IWC Museum (59 reviews)
-This international watch company has grown considerably over the last few years.
Sunday: Speciality Museums
IWC Museum A Journey Through History. Over 230 carefully selected items bear witness to a manufacturer that started making a name for itself with unusually reliable quality and unmistakable, universally appealing design from the very beginning. The collection starts with the legendary Jones calibres in American cases, the first pocket watches with a digital display, ornately decorated dress watches, ladies' watches encrusted with gemstones, and the very first IWC wristwatches. It charts the development of multifunctional timepieces such as the pilot's, deck, diver's and antimagnetic watches, culminating in a number of exquisite specialities and one of the most complicated wristwatches the world has ever seen: Il Destriero Scafusia, which was manufactured in a limited edition to mark the company's 125th anniversary. The retrospective is fittingly complemented by original documentation from IWC's own archives. See more..

- 4.5 Schiffmändli (18 reviews)
-It has to be done
Boat Tours
If you're visiting the falls then it would be silly not to experience one of the many boat trips on offer - they're reasonably priced and cater for all requirements - short falls experience, trip to the mid falls island or a longer trip down river. To be honest the number 4 trip seemed the best option - cost 8cf/e per person, lasts about 15mins and takes you right up close to below the falls. Did consider the island trip (12cf/e) but in my opinion you get the same views from the Laufen side of the river and it's always busy so you have to wait in line to climb up to the platform. Don't worry about getting wet as unless the winds blowing unfavourably all you'll experience is very slight spray. See more..
- 4.5 Krippenwelt (18 reviews)
-An absolute jewel for everybody
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Speciality Museums
I cannot follow the negative comment and rating of the previous voter. Yes, you can buy some items for Christmas, but you don't have to. We have visited the museum twice and discovered managers the 2nd time, we oversaw before because there are so many on the two floors. You easily can spend two hours to explore the numerous managers from all over the world, from different era and material. The 2nd time we booked a very competent tour guide for 50 CHF for our group of 11 people. 11 people is quite big in the rather narrow corridors. The manager museum is located in the oldest house in the center of the picturesque city. Parking space is available in 500m walking distance. Don't forget to take your Raiffeisen debit card with you to get a discount. See more..
- 4.5 Tourismus Stein am Rhein (16 reviews)
-Freindly and efficent tourist bureau
Visitor Centers
A cool tourist office welcomed me after a hot 75 klm cycle, behind a 1600's wooden door. The office manager had excellent english and was able to find me the last room in a local hotel, as a theatre festival was in train. She also showed me where to eat vegetarian and how to negotiate the bike path in the morning. A wonderful place, with efficient and friendly staff. See more..

This is a hidden gem only a short walk from the city away. There are some fire places and a wonderful panorama around. I highly recommend this place and don't leave your camera at home :) See more..
- 4.5 Burg Radegg (13 reviews)
-Hidden Gem in the Canton of Switzerland.
Castles
After a few failed attempts, found a google review suggesting to park at Restaurant Rossberghof outside Wilchingen, which came up on GPS. This will take you into a natural area on Rossberg which has a ton of trails. The trail to Ruine Radegg is well marked, and about a 20 minute walk from the Rossberghof should you decide to park there (they prefer if you buy something to eat or drink). We were blessed with a spectacular day - the Alps could be seen clearly in the distance once we reached Ruine Radegg. The walk to the Ruine was pretty easy, not much incline, but the path around the Ruine is not for the faint hearted or mobility impaired. There is a picnic area and fire pit if you want to bring your own lunch, or by all means enjoy the Swiss fare offered by Rossberghof after exploring the trails. See more..
- 4.5 Rheinfallquai (12 reviews)
-A nice walk
Piers & Boardwalks • Observation Decks & Towers • Scenic Walking Areas
If you park at the big lot in Neuhausen on the northern side of the Rhein, then you should really walk along this short, but nice Promenade. Passing along a picnic spot, shops, restaurants, a small park and several viewing spots and platforms, it's perfect to enjoy the Rheinfall in all the different angles. Also boats across the Rhein and to the Rheinfall leave from here. Great views of the falls (from this side of the river) you get from the area around the Mühleradhaus, which is a bit on a higher level. Keep going to cross the bridge to the other side to Schloss Laufen. A nice litle walk. See more..
- 4.5 Haus zum Ritter (10 reviews)
-Magnifique
Spent < 1 hour Historic Sites • Architectural Buildings
Tout simplement magnifique ! Sans aucun doute la plus belle façade de la vieille ville de Schaffhouse. See more..
