Die Arbeiter am Plattenberg arbeiteten zu kleinen Löhnen meist sechs Tage die Woche, litten oft an Lungenkrankheiten und starben früh. Vier Wandervögel, ausgelaugt von den unzähligen Höhenmetern, welche an diesem Tag bestritten wurden, waren auf der Suche nach einer Stärkung.

Dabei führte der Weg sie zu einem verwunschenen Brunnen. Wider ihrer Erwartung war es kein klassischer Bergbrunnen mit kaltem Quellwasser.
Der Brunnen, gefüllt mit sprudelnder Erfrischung, war es eine Fata Morgana?

Das Zischen beim Öffnen der grünen, ästhetischen Flasche bestätigte den vier Wandervögeln, sie sind in der Wirklichkeit!

Die sprudelnde Süsse mit einer leichten Bitternote verleitete den Vieren Kraft für die letzten Höhenmeter zurück zu ihrem Gefährt.

Dank dem Elmer Citro Brunnen blieb die gute Laune erhalten und die übriggebliebene Kraft wurde gestärkt. See more..

Das Hoschet-Haus wurde 1545 erbaut und ist das älteste, vollständig aus Stein erbaute Wohnhaus der Region. Es liegt im Zentrum von Schwanden, nahe dem Ort wo die evangelischen Landsgemeinde zwischen 1623 und 1837 statt. Dazu erinnert der Landsgemeindebrunnen vor dem Haus. Une galerie visiteurs nous permet de connaître l’histoire, de passer dans la salle des sources (l’eau minérale Elmer prend vie après avoir passé 8 ans dans les profondes couches des montagnes glaronaises) , dans la salle de la marque Elmer (90 ans d’histoire) et d’assister en direct à la production et la mise en bouteilles (un pupitre interactif présente les étapes de production). Es ist dem berühmten Labyrinth von Chartres (F) nachempfunden. Alle sind herzlich eingeladen, das Labyrinth zu begehen. Das barocke Gotteshaus wurde von 1779 - 1781 gebaut, anstelle der ersten Pfarrkirche aus der Zeit der Reformation und ist wunderschön. besonders angetan bin ich von der Kanzel die aus Marmor ist. Das die Kirche nicht zu Überladen ist, finde ich gut so kommen die einzelnen Sehenswürdigkeiten, besonders die Fresken besonders zur Geltung. Ich finde wenn man in Näfels ist sollte man diese Kirche gesehen haben! See more..

Must stop by activity! We saw the sign from the highway and beelined for the shop. Fun activity that lasts about an hour. Do the tour!! It's only 5 Francs, and of course comes with chocolate tasting, AND you get a 5 Francs credit to use towards the gift shop, custom made chocolate, or the cafe. On a hot day, we did a big cycling tour from Schwyz over the Ibergeregg and the Pragelpass. A lot of climbing and sweating was already done before we started the climb over the Pragelpass. The complete climb is approx. 19 km but after 6 heavy kilometers in full sun (and with quite some motorized vehicles passing by), we arrived at this beautiful lake. Before starting the final ascend of 10 beautiful kilometers to the top (without motorized vehicles as it was weekend), you need to cycle 4 flat kilometers next to this lake. Two options here, or you continue and try to have a good Strava time for the full segment, or you take a break and jump in the water. We chose for the later and jumped with our cycling outfit in the refreshing water. The water was not too cold and ideal to cool down and it gave us the right energy boost for the last hour of climbing (and also some beautiful pictures). See more..

World War areas were made interactive and video clips shown on walls helps you to understand more how the events took place. Please note however that you need to go around the museum sections with many stairs going up and down. You will feel like walking through a maze going to other sections. A truly beautiful alpine lake! Stunning views, and wild walks in the woods next to it. The fields, woods, rocks, and the lake itself are teeming with wildlife, and the plants are incredible too. The mountain looming over the lake is magnificent. The restaurant is great, overlooking the lake, and serves fresh salads and homemade cheese (which was amazing), and many more dishes. The winding road to the lake is single-laned, but spotted with inlets to stop in case of a driver coming from the other direction. Well worth the drive! See more..

in summer or winter, Braunwald is always a good place to be. and between the seasons, it gets very quiet (as now, beginning of November, with most of restaurants etc. closed). we love the place, often located above the fog in the lowerlands. Braunwald is promoted as car-free and really, there are no cars and only few roads. however, there are lots of transports by little mountain trucks, running back and forth the little roads so that you all the time have to step aside. and unfortunately they run on diesel fuel. it would be a great thing to turn Braunwald fuel-free by having the transports done by electric trucks. On peut y accéder en télésiège depuis Filzbach avec le Kerenzerbergbahn de Filzbach jusqu’à la station supérieure de Habergschwänd, puis une marche de 30 minutes. Samtliche Werkzeuge, Geratschaften und Maschinen, die es zur Herstellung von Schreibtafeln braucht, sind noch vorhanden.
