We did our first escape room "the library" at this location yesterday. Compared to another room in Zürich, this location is paying a lot of attention to details. We had a lot of fun, were also successful. Just my and my 12y old daughter were able to solve within 45min. Staff was very friendly and gave the right hints at the right time, without interfering or spelling the challenge. We will definitely go back and do the other 3 rooms at this location. See more..

Napoleon III first build a tower in this location in 1829 and enjoyed the views with his mother Hortense. In 1855 the tower was demolished until local residence started a foundation in 2012 and local craftsmen rebuild the tower in 2015/16. Now the panoramic views over the lake of Constance (Bodensee), the surrounding landscape of Thurgau and the distant mountains can be enjoyed once more by anyyone who is willing to climb to the top. The winding stairs are easy to climb and located int he middle of the tower. Along the way up there are signs with historic information. It's 40 meters high and take your time to get up there. It was really great to find this Catholic Church in Kreuzlingen.Comming from the Diocese of Augsburg we were amazed to find a church here in Switzerland names after the Diocesan Patrons,St Ulrich & St Afra.It was origionally a monastory founded in 1125 by Bishop Ulrich of Konstanz.The Church was destroyed 1499 and the present church built in 1650 in the gothic style.1760 saw the church renovated in rococo style and Franz Ludwig Hermann was responsible for the paintings on the celing.In 1848 it became the Parish church.The main Altar is undergoing renovations when we were there.On the Left hand side of the Church is a wonderful artwok of the Passion of Christ and his cruxifiction.A place of prayer well worth visiting. Our museum, located in picturesque Arbon on the Swiss shores of Lake Constance, displays commercial vehicles, engines and embroidery and weaving machines of all generations that were manufactured in Arbon. There is not much to visit in Diessenhofen , other than the Siegelturm (Seal Tower) and – of course - the beautiful and old, wooden bridge that connects this sleepy little town with the city of Gailingen, which lies across the waterway, on the German side. With the bridge being an official border crossing, it has one customs office on each side. There are no more passport checks when moving to the opposite country and the check points are permanently closed now. Only local traffic, consisting mostly of commuters working across the border, and pedestrians cross the single-lane bridge nowadays. Usually we combine an afternoon stay at the “Rheinuferpark” on the German side, in Gailingen with a border crossing into Switzerland, using the beautiful, wooden bridge. The stroll leads us always to the equally beautiful Siegelturm (Seal Tower) in the centre of Diessenhofen. See more..

Estando no Lago Constance não perca a chance de visitar Arbon, é muito pequena, fica a beira do lago , tem um lindo centro histórico e este castelo que é um destaque nesta cidade. O castelo e sua torre são medievais e hoje transformado em um museu que conta a história deste local através de imagens, fotos, objetos, etc. Hoje este castelo também tem um salão que foi restaurado e muitos eventos são realizados neste local (casamentos, festivais, concertos, palestras) cuja renda reverte para conservação do mesmo.
