Recommend going to Upplands Museum first, as it shows the history of this cathedral, making your experience a lot more meaningful. It is also calm and peaceful. There is a tresoury museum in the tower, but did not get a chance to see it as it was closed for Easter. Check more information in the souvenier shop. See more..

    The parks of Enkoping image
People come from near and far to enjoy Enköping’s parks. We have around 20 parks, of varying character, where perennials have been generously used in large borders. Each park has its own style. The Dream Park, designed by the Dutch landscape architect and plantsman, Piet Oudolf, is the best-known park. In town, there are large parks with areas for playing, sports and picnics. We also have so-called pocket parks, small green oases nestled into the urban landscape with fascinating trees, shrubs and ground covering perennials. In the spring, the Magnolias and Sargent’s Cherries bloom in wonderful nuances of white and pink. At the same time, tulips, narcissi and other plants are bursting into flower. Through July, August and September, the tall, dazzling perennials take over the performance. Flowering in all the colours of the rainbow, they succeed each other during See more..

    Biotopia - Biologiska Museet image
This nature center is located a 10-15 minute walk from Uppsala's Central Station (buses & trains) in a small public park surrounded by apartment buildings and businesses. That's what makes this place so impressive. With few staff, a medium sized modern/historic building, and not much outdoor space, it offers many innovative, interactive ways indoor and outdoors to appreciate and become familiar with the natural world that Uppsala's built environment is part of. Staff members are enthusiastic and speak excellent English. It also has a small cafe, an excellent nature gift shop, and information on all the wonderful natural areas to explore in the Uppsala region (most of this info is in Swedish but offers good maps). - Pedagogical botanic garden
    Friday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent 1-2 hours Universities & Schools • Parks • Gardens
    SLU Kunskapsparken image
Kunskapsparken (The Knowledge Garden) is a demonstration facility for teaching and research at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala, but it is also a space for recreation and inspiration – open to all. In brief Kunskapsparken extends over 20,000 square metres and is part of the new campus at SLU in Uppsala. The character of the park varies in four main areas: The southern area is called Staden (the City) and adjoins the Logen restaurant at Ultuna. This area is characteristically strict, densely planted and shaded, with vegetation that blends into the urban environment. Staden leads to Trädgården, (the Garden), which is more open and less regimented. Here there are hedges and beds of perennial flowers. Adjoining Trädgården the visitor will find Ullbo Woodland Garden. Further north there is Odlingen (the plantation), which is an experimental area, comprising theOktavia pavilion. Also, you find 14 lawn grass species and a Rosarium with healthy and hardy roses that do not need so much tending. See more..

  27. 4.0 Carolina Rediviva University Library (130 reviews)
    - My number one choice in Uppsala
    Libraries
    Carolina Rediviva University Library image
I strongly recommend a visit at Carolina for all visitors in my home town. In my opinion this is one of Sweden's most beautiful buildings. If you take the lift up to the 4'th stock (I believe it is no 4, it is part of the library that is open to public visitors) you have one of the best views of Uppsala. Also make sure to devote time for the exhibition of antique books and maps, which also includes some war treasures. If you bring children make sure to have an extra hour for playing in the fantastic play area in the park behind the library. See more..

    - E-bike day trip to Linnés Hammarby
Friday: 11:00 AM - 11:15 AM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
    Linnaeus' Hammarby image
The small estate Hammarby, 15 km SE of Uppsala, was bought by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. He wanted a farm on the countryside where he could spend the summers together with his family, away from the unhealthy quarters of Uppsala. Today, few Swedish manor-houses preserve such an authentic milieu. It reflects the private life of Linnaeus as well as his scientific work. See more..

Scale and long-use with late medieval painted vaults make this a warm and inviting architectural space. I have heard from a musician that the acoustics are excellent for live performances, unlike more cavernous churches. See more..
