  1. 2.5 Bucharests' Gate (15 reviews)
    - Nice looking, but it can't be visited inside
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Bucharests' Gate image
The Bucharests' Gate is a gate that marks the former entrance in the city, today standing like a landmark that is forgotten, as you can't visit it inside and there are a lot of rubbish around it. Actually, it's hard to reach it as you can't find any parking spaces around and you the pietonal crossing roads are far away. See more..
  2. 2.5 Comana Natural Park (3 reviews)
    - Wonderful place!
    Parks

I have visited this place for several times and i think that is a very good place to relax. Is a natural park where you can walk, see wild birds, enjoy the nature, eat, sit on the green grass, go boating on the lake, put your hammock, etc. This place is also an Adventure Park where you go climb, go with the ziplines and have fun. Take into consideration that in the weekends the place is very crowded. See more..

Purpose was to go there for fishing. Highly recommended if you looking for a place for fishing. Chalets are clean, neat and tidy. It has a TV but not clear channels. Washrooms are maintained well. The place has huge pool but it was not busy nor anyone seen using the pool during our stay specially when it is the summer. I kind of agree with the person who wrote the first and only feedback, staff look kind of confused and each transaction they ask if you paying by the card or cash which is annoying. We had dinner on site restaurant and I found it kind of expensive. I had a spaghetti and some beers. In general food was nice. Will recommend to anyone looking for a spot for fishing close to Bucharest. See more..
  4. 2.0 Ferandbat Eurabofc (2 reviews)
    - unprofesional approach of staff
    Ferries
    Ferandbat Eurabofc image
They require cash payment, and if I asked for Credit card payment they were very disappointed, probably form reason of gray economy. You are not paying just for ferry transfer, but additional required ittes was terminal payment and on Bulgarien part of border you should be prepared on the repeted payment for terminal. So insted od group discount you will get surcharge for nothing. Betwen this you will have experiences as a from action movies, that ferry staff cant embark the bus on ferry, because unsuitable kinks and ramps and at weightening of bus on Bulgarian side they damage the trailer hitch, in shot top level unprofesionalism on both sides of borders See more..
  5. 2.0 Orasul De Floci (1 review)
    - Could so interesting ... but there is no interest - or it seems so.
    Spent 1-2 hours Ancient Ruins
    Orasul De Floci image
"Orasul de Floci" - the birth place of king Michael "the Brave" - (Mihai Viteazul, in Romanian) - situate in the Ialomita county right next to the DN 2A road close by to the Giurgeni - Vadu Oii bridge over the Danube. (tried several times to adjust the map location - but it is still wrongly placing the site in the middle of Transylvania ... I gave up - just look for the address). So, an archeological dig site, that is open for visitor for a small fee ... that in the case somebody is actually there during the opening hours (when I was there this summer it wasn't - twice I passed at a distance of 4 days - twice no chance to enter , and nobody picking up the phone - since they got a phone number on display). So, this city - because the dig is focused around a city from the Middle Ages, is the place where in 1558 Michael - the king of , if for a very brief year, united Romania between 1600-1601 - was born ... the city was an important economical center from the XV to the XVII century ... but due to the conflicts of the period it was constantly destroyed and rebuilt until slowly but surely has been fallen into oblivion .. In the 1970's archeological excavations began but were stopped in 1990 and place was and is a genuine ruin - nowadays the history museum of Ialomita county is the custodian - their web site is advertising it - but even that I was there during opening times - nobody was on the premises or answered a phone call - so I was not able to visit the place - good thing is I did not made any detour - just stopped at the parking on the side of the road. Pity , king Michael is probably the most known and most revered kings of Wallachia and medieval "Romania", he's deeds were portrait in a movie that ranks very high on the IMDB list ... still over and over and .... over again , "we" forget the past, forsake our historical historical site and continue to ... .... Indeed ... when you are in the area try to visit this place - it might be interesting. See more..
