Comana Natural Park is a nice park about a 45 minute drive from Bucharest. It has a zip line you can ride, horses, a couple restaurants, a "love" bridge where you attach a padlock, make a wish and throw away the key into the lake, as well as plenty of space for picnic's and resting. My friend who lives nearby told me that in the summer time they sometimes have concerts and plenty of activities for the kids, which makes it a perfect family destination. During my recent visit it was cold and not so crowded. I enjoyed walking around the park and imagined how crowded it must be in the warm weather. I would definitely like to revisit this park during the summer. Romania has a lot of parks and I'd definitely recommend this one. See more..

It was the first time for me and my daughter to see such beautiful animal, the Bison. The reservation is very closed to our hometown, Ploiesti and closed to Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Strengths: One in a lifetime opportunity to sit closed to such a rare animal. Weakness: You can't access the reservation without a vehicle and the staff is not properly trained to do the tour. We were lucky to find around 30 bisons in closed proximity. See more..
