Well know thanks to an appearance on BBC Top Gear with the highest point at 2042 m Balea Lac (lake), Built mainly by military forces The construction ordered by lead to the tunnel dividing northwestern and southern Romania For 40 RON each way you can ride on the cable car over the road and the water fall. The monument stands on the edge of Bucegi Plateau, right above the abyss. Be carefull if you suffer from vertigo! If you're lucky to reach the summit on a clear day, the panoramic views over Prahova Valley, located about 1400 meter under your feet, will take your breath. The monument itself, dedicated to the soldiers that lost their lives during the World War I, is a 40 meters metallic cross, which was under some maintenance work during our visit.See more..
It is a very beautiful place in itself, literally shrouded in clouds on a rainy day. It inspires you to meditate, and in a place like this you realize what greatness means. It's as if you find yourself ... Not to mention useless, it's a place to visit in Busteni.See more..

Visited the place during the Summerwell festival and I enjoyed it. Domeniul Stirbey is, basically, a large park by a pond, with a castle like mansion built in XIX century and a chapel. The park, prepared to entertain the festival goers, was kind of magic, with lots of romantic lights, long chairs, an open air cinema, food vans, coffee trucks, hammocks here and there and even a fake moon balloon. There was even a water installation on the pond. However, I have no idea how the garden, the pond, the castle and the chapel look like when the festival is over, most probably not so exciting and definitely quieter. Summerwell is an Indie-rock music festival held every year in August. The location seems to be a great spot for private events. As a conclusion, I wouldn't recommend you to visit the location, unless you're invited to a private event.See more..

The Bucharests' Gate is a gate that marks the former entrance in the city, today standing like a landmark that is forgotten, as you can't visit it inside and there are a lot of rubbish around it. Actually, it's hard to reach it as you can't find any parking spaces around and you the pietonal crossing roads are far away.See more..

Confieso que estaba impaciente por conocer esta iglesia singular, inaugurada en 2015. Y he tenido la suerte de visitarla ahora (septiembre 2018) y de pasar una jornada en ese lugar con un grupo de amigos. Es un monasterio carmelita para el siglo XXI, que imita en parte las construcciones de los monasterios ortodoxos famosos en todo el mundo y una iglesia construida por dentro en madera laminar. Si visitan Snagov, no dejen de pasar a visitar esta maravilla.See more..
Impressive catholic church built about 800 years ago and offering great architectonic details. Clocktower built more than 200 years ago. Religious service is still held here. There is a beautiful garden to be explored. The amazing ancient stone walls still surround the church on the south. However, many changes and modifications suffered this church in the recent years, most of them could be classified as perfect kitsch (such as the Electric cable passing through the ancient stained glass window). The Pasarea Monastery is located in the Pasarea village, a component of Branesti commune, being difficult to visit without a car. The place where the monastery was built in the 19th century is a beautiful natural area, with a nice river and a forest which is part of the Codrii Vlasiei. The place is full of beauty as the noons are working all day to maintain the beautiful garden. Inside, there are beautiful paintings and a nice golden iconostasis.
