I really enjoyed this kayaking tour with Guillermo. From the start, he made sure the conditions would be okay for a pleasant trip. As a guide, he is very knowledgeable about the birds, different towns, and important information/history about the lake. He can answer questions you have as a long time resident. Guillermo will go at your pace and brings snacks/water. He is a very chill, and fun to talk to. I should add very professional too. This is the best kayak tour I've been on. Thank you for a nice tour! Definitely try this out! See more..

  4. 5.0 Garcia Fishing Charters (78 reviews)
    - Awesome guides, great people, and the best ceviche!
Wednesday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Fishing Charters & Tours
    Garcia Fishing Charters image
My sons and I fished with Luis and his first mate Jonathan and had an awesome day. Luis's boat is great, well equipped and he and Jonathan have deep knowledge of the area. We caught lots of fish including Jack Trevaly, Bonito, Red Snapper, Spanish Mackeral and more. On top of all that they made the best ceviche on the way home which was its own carnival trick of sorts: Jonathon fillets better than anyone I have ever seen and makes ceviche on a moving boat - waves and swells - which was amazing. Great people, great fishing guides - I could not recommend them more highly. See more..
  5. 5.0 Mismaloya Adventures (77 reviews)
    - AMAZING Snorkeling Tour!
    Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Scuba & Snorkelling • Boat Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching
    Mismaloya Adventures image
Snorkeling with Mismaloya Adventures was the BEST part of our trip to Puerto Vallarta! Our family of four were the only people on the tour, and we took a short boat ride from the beach out to the arches. Our guide actually jumped into the water with us and led us to the exact right locations to see hundreds of colorful fish, puffer fish, an eel, and so much more. While the people on the giant tour boats of 40+ passengers were bobbing away aimlessly with the tide, our guide instructed us on how to maneuver such that we didn’t get slammed into rocks or swept away from the fish. Super honest and incredible prices- the price for the four of us was less than the cost for one person on a large boat snorkel tour. We would 100% book with Mismaloya Adventures anytime we travel to PV. See more..

    Nevado de Colima Tours image
This was an amazing trip. My top priority on my visit was to hike Nevado de Colima but ran in to issues with transportation. Gerardo helped me through that. The tour company recommended the hotel Reforma. Very inexpensive but the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in. They were very helpful at the front desk also. Gerardo was an outstanding guide!!! Picked me up at the hotel for the 1 1/2 hr drive. The hike was great. It was on Feb 13th. I feel that the temp may have been in the 30s at some points but warmed up. Luckily it was a pretty clear day so we had amazing views of Fuego Volcan. Gerardo packed a great lunch. Only saw a few people coming up as we were coming down. He brought me back into town and waited until my taxi showed up. I can't recommend him and Nevado de Colima Tours. They were absolutely wonderful and I truly enjoyed our conversations and hike with Gerardo. Thank you so very much for making wish come true of doing my first 14er. Tiffany See more..

We chartered a private snorkel tour with Sergio and team and were extremely impressed. We got to see several top dive spots in the area and received excellent photos/videos included in the price. When you factor this in, the price is not that much more than most of the big group tours so we were very happy about that. Sergio and the crew are all very proud to show & tell you about the sites, architecture in the area, and histories of towns that dot the south banderas bay in puerto vallarta. They are professional and very friendly and made us feel safe and in great hands. They dock out of Mismaloya and everyone in town knows who they are so they were easy to find. I highly recommend this group to anyone staying at #garzablanca or anywhere on the southern side of #puertovallarta See more..

Her place on the mountain is stunning, the stories and lesson plans she utilizes are sound, and you won't meet a better travel advisor when looking for adventure in and around Yelapa. On top of spending five+ hours teaching me every week, Jaunita took me to the botanical gardens in Vallarta, to live jazz outside on a Sunday morning in La Cruz, and treated me like a close friend, like family. Hacienda Matel Day Tour image
It was our first ever trip to Puerto Vallarta and we wanted to take a couple of day trips. We booked the tour through the tour office at our hotel. Gustavo was our tour guide who arrived promptly at the Senor Frogs parking lot. The small van is very "distinctive" to say the least and was clean and cool. There was a total of 8 guests on the tour. Other reviewers have laid out the itinerary so I won't duplicate other than to say it was a full, interesting and satisfying tour, well worth the time and the money. The lunch that was provided was the best authentic Mexican food we had over our two week vacation. The guacamole was the very best I have very had. Our guide, Gustavo was excellent and very personable. His knowledge was second to none and he was entertaining and funny (and a good driver!!!). Highly recommend this tour and we would do it again it was so educational and enjoyable. And the very personal tour and interaction with Gustavo made it over the top. See more..

We benefited from having a very fun group as well as our tour guide providing info as well last the Rubio Tour Guide. We had a short tour of the town and then proceeded to the factory for a tour and then the first tasting. The process isn't that complicated so the tour doesn't take too long. The tasting consists of a small sample of the four kinds of Tequilla that they make and then off to the gift shop. Gift shop prices are very reasonable - a baseball cap was $80 pesos. We then returned to town for some more Tequilla tasting... See more..

    - Stunning beach that reminds me of Virgin Gorda!
Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
    Playa Colomitos image
This beach is stunning and one can get there only by hiking or a boat taxi. We did the hike that took us 25 minutes through the jungle type flora. Wear sturdy shoes as there are many roots poking through the dirt. Once we arrived at the beach there were only 2 people there, however, boats were passing through just to have a look at the gorgeous beach. We put our blanket out and took turns snorkeling by the rocks. The fish were very colorful and there were plenty of them. We relaxed for a while and then hiked back to Boca de Tomatlan. See more..

Four of us, all experienced riders, went on a 3 hour ride with Chavez. What a wonderful experience. We ride through jungle, rivers and the town to the Predator movie set at elEden, where we had a nice break at the restaurant. The horses were all in good shape and well cared for. Chavez figures out we knew what we were doing pretty quickly so we had some nice trots & canters. Go in the morning as it gets really hot & dusty later in the day. See more..

On a day trip from bucerias, we decided to drop by his house to see if he still welcomes visitors. Francisco is not a young man, but so happy to give us a private tour of his house. I had read that he charged 10 pesos a person in 2018, but I did not ask him the price and gave him 50 pesos in recognition of his 20 years of work, and his great imagination. I loved it, so different from the usual museums and you get to meet this lovely local man. See more..

Easy to find, one and one-half blocks from the city square on Hidalgo. I arrived early on a weekday morning. It was quiet. So glad I got to see it. I liked the feeling I had when entering and sitting. Sacred. See photos attached See more..
