Worst experience in my life!!! They charged me $400 peso for no tour and then I got left at Mundo Aventura and then I had to pay for a taxi which cost $300 peso after waiting 1 1/2 hours playing tag with no cell phone reception. They promised a tour! And no the tour girl left. What a disappointment. Did you know you it only cost $20 peso to get into the park and the bridge is $150. They where the worst! Rancho San Francisco is a private estate adjacent to the Chapala Golf and Country Club. We offer 1-2 hour guided trail rides on country roads or mountain trails which we tailor to your ability and experience. Helmets provided. The ranch has many farm animals for kids to pet and feed: horses, donkeys, guineapigs, peacocks, rabbits, hens and pollitos, fresh eggs, humming birds, doves, songbirds, ducks, dogs and cats, a tame squirrel and even iguanas!! Cross a hanging bridge, have a campfire in a petrified wood forrest grotto. View the lake and mountains from the pavilion, a picnic area and bar for up to 25 people. Anna was so accommodating and easy to communicate with. She is an American living in Mexico and knows all the tips and tricks. We told her what we wanted from our day- avoiding crowds, snorkeling, discovering chill beaches, getting off the beaten track. She took us all around, chose a great beach restaurant for lunch (Charlie’s on Quimixto) and let us relax and explore at our own pace. She had great recommendations and advice. We had previously bought a bottle of tequila that we really liked and I called the number on the bottle to see if we could tour the distillery. It is located in Amatitan, the town before Tequila.
