4.5Punta De Mita(361 reviews) - Great location in Punta de Mita Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
This property was literally right on the beach. The view from the ground floor patio was the best for sunrises and whale watching and there were plenty of them. The surf school set up their tent right out front and was neat to watch all the novice and skilled surfers. Not only was it close to the beach but was also well situated to walking to town and the Saturday markets. Norma’s tacos and Theresa’s tacos were close by and were delicious. The lobster in paradise and Minas restaurants were both very good. Casa de Pintar was just down the street and had great food. Taking the bus to La Cruz was easy and only 20 pesos. Our condo was very spacious with 2 large bedrooms and each had there own washroom and shower. Having laundry was a bonus . Walking to buy groceries was easy once you became familiar with the surroundings. Looking forward to going backSee more..
I found this beach on trip advisor and wanted to go here on our cruise stop. The taxis are very pushy to go to playa mismaloya and originally that is where they took us until I insisted to go here. This beach was absolutely gorgeous, way more beach area than Mismaloya and definitely less crowded. I read in reviews there are no places here for food or drink but there was a vendor set up for both and the the food was delicious and cheap. Only downside I could see was no restrooms. Again, beautiful beach and would definitely recommend over Mismaloya.See more..

4.0Playa Mismaloya(189 reviews) - Beautiful and unique beach Beaches
Such a beautiful place! With a river entering into the ocean, a walkway along the rocks, a rustic setting with a few beach restaurants. I took the most gorgeous photographs here. However, we do wish we had waited to have lunch somewhere else. The shrimp tacos we had were horrible (a couple of small shrimp covered in piles of lettuce and shredded carrots) - tasteless! But he scenery made up for a bad lunch.See more..

4.0Boca de Tomatlan Beach(112 reviews) - Great hike to Playa Las Ánimas Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
We enjoyed a great hike from Boca de Tomatlan to Playa Las Animas. It’s a little rocky and strenuous in places, but offers beautiful views of the coastline. The beach at Las Animas is beautiful as well and there are a number of quality beachfront restaurants. My main recommendation would be to get an early start so you can enjoy the hike, spend time at the beaches along the way, and eat lunch at Las Animas. The restaurant options in Boca de Tomatlan are not as desirable.See more..

4.0Colomitos(55 reviews) - An intimate and paradise beach. Beaches
You need to get to Boca de Tomatlán bay and get a boat there or walk by the hill, we chose the latter and took us about 40 minutes to get to Colomitos beach, I strongly recommend to use adequate shoes for the walk because it’s slippery and rocky. The views you get in the way are awesome and worth the effort. Colomitos is said to be the smallest beach in the world.See more..

4.5Playa Colomitos(31 reviews) - Stunning beach that reminds me of Virgin Gorda! Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
This beach is stunning and one can get there only by hiking or a boat taxi. We did the hike that took us 25 minutes through the jungle type flora. Wear sturdy shoes as there are many roots poking through the dirt. Once we arrived at the beach there were only 2 people there, however, boats were passing through just to have a look at the gorgeous beach. We put our blanket out and took turns snorkeling by the rocks. The fish were very colorful and there were plenty of them. We relaxed for a while and then hiked back to Boca de Tomatlan.See more..
4.5Cuastecomates Beach(17 reviews) - So peaceful Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Decided to take a short drive from Barra. Cute little village over the mountain all handicapped accecable. Great swimming beach, lots of vendors and restaurants. We stopped and had some snacks with a couple cervas. They didn’t have corona light but we were able to go to a store purchase and drink it right in the restaurant because we had something to eat.See more..
4.5Careyitos Beach(14 reviews) - Colorful Careyes - just beautiful! Beaches
We recently visited Careyes Bay, and what a gorgeous little spot this is!! There are three beaches on this tiny bay and the hillsides are covered with the most colorful homes, estates and villas I have ever seen. A friend of mine compared it to Santorini, but the difference is that this bay is decorated in primary colors!! If you have a chance to get over to Playa Careyes or Playa Rosa on Careyes Bay, do it!!! My husband and I have traveled almost the entire Mexican coast by sailboat, and we have never seen anything like Careyes!! Punta Negra is a great little beach. We have been many times while staying in the Romantic Zone of PV. During the week it is not busy at all. There is a small restaurant that serves delicious Mexican dishes of fish or shrimp. Cerveza is cheap and cold. Only a few sales people walking the beach. It gets busier on the weekend with more locals visiting.See more..

See more..
