I would make this a stop in your adventures in Guadalajara. Short uber ride from the central plaza. Its not expensive, however please pay the extra fee that they charge to take pictures. It's worth every penny. Learn about the legends of the city. The Vampire, Nachito and the architect that built the cemetery. Each one has a great story. The tour guide was knowledgeable and approachable. We took the last tour of the day which is at 3pm. Get there on time. Enjoy See more..

Museo Los Abuelos Familia Sauza image
It opened its doors in 1985, with the aim of making known the origins of tequila and the history of the Sauza family, who for three generations, from 1873 to 1985, devoted themselves to the production and promotion of this drink. The building that houses it dates from 1820 and since then belongs to the Sauza family; It was built as a house-room and over the years it functioned as an educational center and house of culture, sponsored by Mr. Francisco Javier Sauza. Among the numerous objects and pieces of art exhibited, there is a mural by the master Gabriel Flores, allusive to the development and evolution of tequila, from pre-Hispanic times to the present; all the recognitions granted to the Sauza Tequila from 1873 to 1987, such as the Gold Cup of Good French Taste; paintings by Guillermo Chávez Vega; a rustic kitchen; agricultural implements; memories of the television program Noches Tapatías; photographs of the town of Tequila; archaeological pieces of the region See more..

The museum is small but has a nice collection of mummies. There is a small fee to see the mummies. If you have time stop by the cemetery as well which is around the corner... Not to boast but my hometown does have a beautiful cemetery. Every time I'm visiting Encarnación de Diaz, I stop to pay my respect to my loved ones at the panteón.... If you happen to be driving by stop by, it's definitely worth it. See more..
