We arrived just before the 8.30 show, two 5 minute displays to classical music. The fountains were well choreographed to the music. Busy but not overcrowded, despite it being Chinese New Year. We had a stroll round the lake and sat on the bench to enjoy the 9.00 show, another two 5 minute displays, this time to modern music. Altogether a lovely way to finish a day in KL. See more..

  12. 4.5 Putra Mosque (1.088 reviews)
    - Amazing architecture
    Religious Sites
    Putra Mosque image
The Putra Mosque is the main mosque of Putrajaya. The building is adjacent to the entrance of Seri Perdana, and both are so pretty, they look like a couple. The architecture of this building is an eclectic mix of various islamic styles. I could identify Moorish, Ottoman, Mamluk and elements of Malay. The latter especially in the minaret. The building is decorated in a distinctive colour of pink, with the various domes in a deeper shade of pink than the rest of the building. It looks pretty up close, but even better from afar, especially on Putra Bridge, where you can see the back of the building and all the different sized domes. Visitors are welcome to enter the mosque at specific times. I’m guessing it’s outside prayer hours. The mosque advertises the visiting hours. I do think it’s worth seeing the interiors, the main prayer hall has some fantastic Moorish architectural features. Amazing architecture. See more..

    Religious Sites
Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin (Masjid Besi) image
Also known as Iron Mosque (Masjid Besi), it is second largest mosque in Putrajaya after Putra Mosque. The parking is easy and spacious. The open prayer hall concept a bit uncomfortable for ladies thus the men could see the ladies performing their prayers. It is also not a user friendly mosque. The ablution areas is at the downstairs and quite far from the main prayer hall, for the elderly people is difficult for them to walk and the escalator seldom working. See more..
  16. 4.5 Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putrajaya (118 reviews)

Points of Interest & Landmarks • Bridges
    Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putrajaya image
The Seri Wawasan Bridge is one of the main bridges in Putrajaya, linking Core Island with the residential areas on the left bank. From a distance, the bridge looks like a sailing ship and when you’re actually on the bridge looking west at the cables, it looks like the wind is blowing into a sail. The bridge also has great views of Putrajaya, especially when looking north where you can see both the Putra Mosque and Seri Perdana. See more..

Its a well planned beautiful well maintained, slightly undulating walking route (figure of 8) in a breathtaking garden , with various types of colourful flowers, pine trees and many more. Must hv good walking shoes and sports attire as you will definitely perspire. Pun intended. Bring water , hats and sunblock. Bukit Bintang is probably one of two of the most touristy spots in Kuala Lumpur for it’s concentration of hotels, shopping, architecture and entertainment. Some of the shopping is pretty upscale, but there’s plenty that’s reasonably priced, especially if you head to the nearby Jalan Alor which has more street hawkers. Some of the more interesting buildings include Starhill Gallery, but I enjoy visiting for the eclectic mix of modernity and pre-war buildings too. Can go wrong here if you want to shop, eat or be entertained. See more..
