  3. 4.0 Legoland Malaysia (6.208 reviews) from $22.05
    - 5 star VIP experience!
Monday: Spent More than 3 hours Amusement & Theme Parks • Water Parks
    Legoland Malaysia image
We loved our VIP experience provided by Legoland! We skipped all the queues and took repeated rides during our 6 hours at Legoland. The host (Hasfiq) was great looking after our 2 kids and he even took a roller coaster ride together with one of my boys (which is way above what he does) as we had enough of the rides but the boy wanted to go but was not tall enough to go alone. That was the friendship they built within a short span of time. We are so well looked after even for meals (breakfast and lunch included in this experience ) We cannot recommend this VIP experience enough but booking this during the busy season is a hassle itself (especially if you also want to stay at Legoland hotel) so i hope the booking process be smooth for future guests. 4. 4.0 Johor Bahru City Square (1.236 reviews)
    - Casual visit
Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Johor Bahru City Square image
Strategically located in the heart of the city and only a stone's throw from the customs and immigration checkpoint, Johor Bahru City Square stands out as a central landmark in JB. With its more than 200 retailers, it offers a host of fashion, entertainment and restaurants. All catered to wow the senses and satisfy the needs. Rush in when the doors open at 10am for breakfast, then head out and start your shopping adventure of clothes, shoes, bags, trinklets, toiletries, electronic toys. Everything the heart desires. Unique to Johor Bahru City Square is the Inner City, an eclectic mix of smallish fashion and accessory shops plus restaurants housed in a tight, quaint setting. Always a firm favorite of the "NOW" generation. After many hours of shopping, rest the feet in one of the numerous restaurants and cafes or indulge in a soothing foot massage, then go on to treat the rest of the body at a salon. See more..
  5. 4.0 Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple (301 reviews)
    - Beautiful temple with glass & glass mosaics
Monday: 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple image
The Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple is a Hindu temple and reputedly the oldest in Malaysia. From the exterior, it’s an innocuous looking South Indian style temple with a gopuram. Inside the temple looks far more elaborate as it’s completely decorated in glass and glass mosaic. The decoration looks heavily influenced by Thai Buddhist temples, except that this temple has taken the glass to the extreme of having the glasswork everywhere. Other than the eye catching glassworks, the temple is fairly typical of Hindu temples with statues of deities dotted around the temple. Surprisingly, the temple also has sculptures of figures from religions including Christianity and Buddhism. Overall, a pretty temple with eye-catching interiors. The temple is to the north of the city centre and can be a pain to get to, especially if walking. I thought it was worth it nevertheless. See more..

  10. 4.0 Johor Old Chinese Temple (146 reviews)
    - A beautiful temple to visit in the city
Monday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Religious Sites
    Johor Old Chinese Temple image
This is one of the oldest religious buildings in Johor Bahru and the oldest Chinese temple. The front of the building is beautifully decorated with paintings of the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. The front entrance is painted in bold red and contrasts beautifully against the predominantly white background of the front wall. The temple interestingly serves all the main dialectal Chinese groups of the city. So it’s not a surprise that the temple has a mixture of shrines for Buddhism, Taoism and other Chinese deities. The Chinese deity Yuan Tian Shang Di is most prominent in the temple as the shrine is in the main central building while there is a subsidiary building for the Goddess of Mercy. A beautiful temple to visit in the city. See more..
  11. 4.0 AEON Mall (136 reviews)
    - Big shopping shop and eat until you drop
Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls

Big shopping mall. I went by private taxi hire. A very good place to shop and eat and treat it as a holiday retreat. There are 3 levels of retail space for your to shop. 12. 4.0 Gunung Lambak (117 reviews)
    - Good training ground
    Mountains
    Gunung Lambak image
It was my first-time hiking Gunung Lambak. Planned earlier with a group of friends to start at 730 am but only can arrive at 9 am. So, have to start on my own but since it was a weekend then need not to worry as there were a lot of people hiking up the trail at any time. You can always ask the friendly hikers to show you the right way. Going up was not as easy on the first segment to the sign board. From there the trail up started to climb but you just need to relax and go up slowly step by step and you will reach the peak in about 1 hour and half. You can go down the way you went up, but I took the other way going to the second peak and went down from there. The trail was good and at the peak there were a lot of monkeys. Overall, I would want to repeat Gunung Lambak and I think it's good for training ground for more higher places. See more..
  13. 4.0 Johor Bahru Sentral Railway Station (110 reviews)
    - KTM is the way to go!
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
Johor Bahru Sentral Railway Station image
Located just opposite Holiday Inn & City Square and a short walk from Amari JB, the Railway Station is conveniently located next to the CIQ customs complex (where public buses trot between JB and Singapore). The KTM shuttle takes only 5 minutes from JB to Singapore and vice versa. It is affordable at RM5 or SG5 from Singapore to JB. Clearing customs at both ends are relatively fuss-free. (Apart for the mad rush onto the train where everyone rushes the moment the JB customs Officer lifts the barrier). See more..
  14. 4.0 Kluang Mall (109 reviews)
    - BIGGEST AND TALLEST SHOPPING MALL IN KLUANG
Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Speciality & Gift Shops
    Kluang Mall image
Its a new and biggest shopping mall in Kluang, Johor. I would like to recommend this shopping mall to users here because you can find most branded goods and restaurant at here like Starbucks, Secret Recipe, Ogawa, Al-ikshan and other store in here. I would like to recommend users here to park your vehicle at upstairs instead of the underground car park, because from the top floor car park, you can see the town and Gunung Lambak and nice scenery as well. 15. 4.0 Chinese Heritage Museum (104 reviews)
    - Chinese Heritage of Johor Bahru
    History Museums
    Chinese Heritage Museum image
The Chinese Heritage Museum is a fantastic museum detailing the history of Chinese settlement in Johor Bahru. The first two floors are dedicated to and have an amazing amount of detail about the different Chinese communities that settled and on their contribution. The top floor is a special exhibit on gambier, the crop that originally made Johor wealthy and first brought the Chinese over. A great museum for a very small entrance fee. See more..
  16. 4.0 Tanjung Piai National Park (95 reviews)
    - Southern tip of Asia
Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM National Parks
    Tanjung Piai National Park image
It was approximately 1.5 hours from Johor Bahru centre to Tanjung Piai National Park. Entrance fees were MYR5 and MYR3 for adult and children respectively. I wanted to show to my children the spot where my grandparents were first arrived in Malaysia, migration from Indonesia, in 1915. This area has a jetty which located facing an Indonesian island called Pulau Kerimon and Singapore on the left hand side. We have enjoyed our little trip to this national park, as we walked through the mangrove and observed the monkeys, birds and others. We also would like to congratulate Johor National Parks Corporation for their efforts in maintaining this special tourist site. Keep up the good work! See more..
  17. 4.0 Puteri Harbour (94 reviews)
    - Vacation home
    Points of Interest & Landmarks
    Puteri Harbour image
Very nice place for family to hang out and many great restaurants as well. Hope Puteri Harbour shopping area could resume more business activities soon as many retail shops have been closed down since Covid. Hope there are more weekends events and open markets along the Harbour area as business activities are starting to picking up again. This is one of the most potential points of interest within the Puteri Iskandar prime area and looking forward to see more planning by the local government to resume its activities. See more..
  18. 4.0 Gunung Ledang (Mount Ophir) (93 reviews)
    - Family outing
    Mountains
    Gunung Ledang (Mount Ophir) image
The management will make sure you check-in and take your body temperature. RM2 is collected from each car and an entrance fee of RM1 per adult. You will have to walk about a 100m from the parking lot to the pool area. It is an ideal place for family outing as we saw many families were having picnics and enjoy dipping themselves in the water. The young ones were learning how to swim under the watchful eyes of their fathers. If you need a float, you can just get one from the stalls nearby. There are many pools along the long trail leading up to the top of Gunung Ledang. If you wish to stay longer, you can always check-in to the accomidation on the site. A standard room costs RM150 whereas a deluxe room costs RM250. Not a bad deal for staying in the middle of nature. See more..
  19. 4.0 Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm (92 reviews)
    - An eye opener tour
    Zoos
    Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm image
The farm is quite a ride away if you are staying in desaru coast. Approximately 30mins drive. Nothing around the vicinity just the farm. You can finish touring the farm in less than half an hour. Lots of crocodiles ranging from different ages. To see them in action, you may wish to purchase fresh chicken to feed them . The staff will actually feed the crocodile and you just need to standby your camera! The lady boss actually act as the guide and provides us with informations about the crocodiles in the farm. She was very informative and it was an educational tour for the kids as well. See more..
  20. 4.0 The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey (92 reviews)
    - Spacious The Mall no WOW yet
Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Shopping Malls
The Mall, Mid Valley Southkey image
Read reviews and was really excited about visiting this mega mall. It is indeed large and spacious. There is more walking needed. Shops are the regular ones. Happy to see Muji Store. In comparison, City Square Mall has more shops packed in a smaller mall. Shopping is thus more efficient than South Key’s mall. The mall’s washroom and sad to say it’s not well maintained even though it’s so new. From City Square mall to Mid Valley South Key, Grab costs RM9. A group of 3 people spent the same taking bus T21. Bus stops near the loading bay of the mall. Take Grab is better if you have 3-4 pax. Overall, average experience and not WOW. Yes, kids will love the space to run about. See more..
  21. 4.0 Tan Hiok Nee heritage Street (82 reviews)

    Points of Interest & Landmarks
Tan Hiok Nee heritage Street image
Was here for the weekend. Very good as breakfast-lunch place. Lotsa road construction going on. Seems like major works. Most shops looked close and quiet, except for the usual small, crowded signature coffeeshops. We visited the Chinese heritage museum which again was undergoing renovation. On saturday, this area turns into night mkt. Worth a stroll for food. See more..

    Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Parks
    Tanjung Emas Park image
Tetian Bakau is a new attraction in Tanjung Muar. It features a stilted track, zigzagging across the mangrove. An eco-tourism for close-up views of flora and fauna. We enter from our morning walk route. It has a pathway of elevated wooden track with rail guards, rest points and a view deck over the Straits of Melaka. Monkeys, herons, iguanas and mud crabs appear in their natural habitats. Chirping birds and creepy insects are audible. The pathway exit at the south end of Tanjung Muar. Tetian Bakau offers a mangrove experience without wetting the feet. See more..

  26. 4.0 Puteri Harbour Satellite Clubhouse (59 reviews)
    - Sweet cute theme parks
    Amusement & Theme Parks
    Puteri Harbour Satellite Clubhouse image
Do not compare with Sanrio Puroland in Japan, then you will happy with your fun time with your family. Our only problem is No queue, we covered every ride, everything and lunch by 2.30pm, we had too much time left while waiting for our pick up bus. Visit on Saturday, no queue in every ride, everyone is happy and cheerful. 2nd floor is Hello Kitty Town, few activities to do and a small ride. 3rd and 4th floor is more for little boys with Thomas the train, Bob the builder, Barney and also for girl Angelina the ballerina. Still non-stoping us from taking all the ride as they are all suitable for children and adults. The good points is the arcade actually free to play, which this is the plus point. After done with every activities and rides, we killed some times at the arcade. Tips: Do not go during school holiday or public holiday Don't expect any cheap Sanrio products, the price is more expensive than the Japan Sanrio. See more..
  27. 4.0 Pulai Waterfall (54 reviews)
    - Gunung Pulai Falls
    Waterfalls
    Pulai Waterfall image
Visited the Falls on a Friday morning. Upon arrival by car, you will see that the main gate is closed. After checking with the local residents, the only way to the falls is to walk up. We parked our car using the local resident compound, which cost RM1. If you have elderly people, it might be tough for them as the slope is steep. You will need about 20 ~ 30 mins to climb up to a y-intersection. We met one of the local resident who excerise every day, told us taking the left route will lead to the pool and continue walking on the right will lead to the top of falls and a army camp. We took the left route as our elderly people were tired. After walking downslope, I think we reached the first cascade with a nice pool. As it was raining season, there were not many people except a couple. The depth of the pool was about 1.5m. My kids loved to play in the pool as there is a rope hanged across by previous users. The nice thing about this falls is that there is no fishes unlike Kota Tinggi falls. Toilet for changing/bathing is available. Overall experience is great as this falls is free unlike Kota Tinggi which is too commercialise. We will definitely be back for a second time. See more..

    Arulmigu Rajamariamman Devasthanam image
Beautiful hindu temple. There are two more Arumilgu Temples in Johor Bahru but this one definitely defines the passion, the resilience and the dedication of all locals that find here their inner peace. This temple is side by side with the railway and trains are often part of the ceremonies. When a train is passing we can feel the ground shaking...of course that the most important is paying attention when crossing the railway though it's not very busy (double caution when you have kids because this is a very funny place for kids to run or to jump on the railways!). We stayed for the service and we really enjoyed. The ceremony is so deeply magical that will take us to another sensation. Of freedom. Don't miss out this temple :-) See more..
  30. 4.0 Pasar Malam (45 reviews)
    - Night Market @Jalan Seladang
    Flea & Street Markets
    Pasar Malam image
Super crowded night market outside KSL and happens every Monday. Strongly suggest you start walking from Hotel Grand Paragon downwards. Stall holders start setting up around 4.30pm and biz starts around 5.30pm. There's this famous stinky tofu stall operating from a van right in front of Grand Paragon. Queue is crazy. Many repeated items sold eg: fried carrot cake, curry chee Cheong fun with Wu Xiang Xia Bing, Dim Sum stalls, Kueh Kueh stalls, fruits stalls. The gravy for curry chee Cheong fun was too watery; many locals went for their sweet sauce instead. Assam laksa looks nice as well. Only 1 stall selling roasted chestnut and remember to take queue number before you start queuing. Saw 3 stalls selling stinky tofu 1 stall at each end of the market and 1 less popular stall in middle of a small lane. Fried carrot cake is those traditional chunky type with loads of egg. There are a few Appam stalls. 1 rojak stall with super long queue next to the roasted chestnut. See more..
