Points of Interest & Landmarks
The original temple is said to have been constructed over 400 years ago by expert craftsmen from Thailand. The present day structure has been built up over the past 50 or more years. There are two main beautiful, stunning and huge buildings that are of great interest which contains many fine artworks as follows: 1. The Magnificent Main Shrine Hall The Standing Buddha statue right on top at the building roof. The veneration of Phra Buddha Chinnaraj (Victory Buddha) statue in the main hall. One of the main attraction inside the Hall, a wax statue of Phor Than Di (passed away), a charismatic abbot , revered by the community. 2. The Dragon Boat Temple The Dragon Boat is located in the temple compound which has 4 Nagas (dragons) as guardian and this 'boat' is entirely surrounded by water. Kelantan Welcome You!! -Good exercise with fantastic view!
Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Religious Sites
Good walk from the Water & Moon Temple in Kampung Pulai. Crossed metal bridge and onto a pebbled path. Crossed a rubber plantation. Cave was quite challenging especially in the horrendous heat. Worth the climb as view is fantastic. There isa huge Guan Yin in the cave which was carved from a stalagmite. When you walk back to the temple, be careful and remember to follow around the lake. There are no sign boards. One might get lost if you accidentally walk towards another path. And, LOTS of mosquitos. Be ready with repellent. See more..

We also can go to there and find a monk, bless for us safe and keep healthy. Visitors can't wear dressed exposed to there, because there is a sacred place. - 4.0 AEON MALL Kota Bharu (16 reviews)
-One of the better mall around
Monday: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Shopping Malls
Kota Bharu being a sleepy town in the east coast has few malls. One of it is AEON mall. Located a little bit outside city centre, this is a fairly new, modern mall with good facilities. It has plenty of mid range international brands for fashion and homewares. Main shop anchor shop would be AEON deparmental store itself taking 3 floors. Ground floor is where the groceries shop is. The restaurants here are plenty ranging from foodcourt (3rd Floor) to dine in restaurants (Ground Floor). Parking is easy and free although you need to take a parking ticket. English is spoken here. See more..
- 4.0 Gunung Stong (15 reviews)
-Being Close with Nature is the Best Experience
Mountains
We boarded the Jungle train at Wakaf Bharu, a small town tucked away in the northeastern corner of Malaysia. The jungle train which serves Malaysia’s east-coast line, Our point of disembarkation was a tiny village in the middle of nowhere called Dabong, where there’s a railway station. There are also a number of limestone caves near Dabong but the real reason to stop here is to see the spectacular Jelawang waterfall in the Gunung Stong State Park (GSSP). The park is named after the prominent peak of Gunung Stong (1,422 m), a mountain that is found inside the park. Please do read our 'The Complete Guide To Visiting Stong Waterfall: The Tallest Cascade In Southeast Asia That Most Travellers Miss' on our website in case you would like to know everything about this park. ( site link in the profile/bio) The terrain of GSSP is rugged and heavily forested with tree cover extending into the higher elevations of the park, meaning that some of the peaks do not offer much of a view. The jungle here supports a rich diversity of flora and fauna, although animals are usually difficult to see. The biggest attraction for most people that come here is the seven-tiered, 305 metre-high Jelawang waterfall (also known as Stong waterfall). See more..

- 4.0 Mass Grave of Vietnamese Boat People (1 review)
-VBP mass grave Cherang Ruku
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks • Cemeteries
Whilst this is not for everyone the historical value is to see one of the many sad reminder of the loss of life when a large number of refugees left Vietnam after 1975. This mass grave is to bury 139 Vietnamese boat people (VBP) in an escape boat of MT065. They arrived at the shore of Cherang Ruku, Kelantan state of Malaysia in the late afternoon of 31 Nov 1978. Because of the push policy at the time they were not permitted to land. The next morning a monsoon capsized the boat and 188 out of 300 people on the boat drowned. The bodies of 139 were gathered from the shores of Cherang Ruku and interred in a mass grave. The names of 123 are listed on the headstones. Most of the victims are women and children who could not swim. The Mass grave is at the southern end of a chinese style graveyard. If you travel a short distance north (< 1km) you also will find a very interesting Thai style Buddhist temple. The location is a bit hard to get to unless you have a car. Its approximately 2 hours drive north of Kuala Terengganu. We hired a car with driver for the day cost approx 300RMY. The grave is on a side street off Jalan Semerak (exact google gps location 5.8710843,102.4832757) . If you can't find it ask the locals they know where it is. If you plan a day trip perhaps leave early in the morning and swing by Merang Jetty on the way back and catch a boat out to the islands. See more..
